Here's the simple answer: your horizontal and vertical video slider settings in the in-game options are not maxed out.
But then along with that begs two primary questions:
1) Wouldn't that cut off some video when I'm playing, then?
2) Why would they make that an option?
Hopefully this video makes sense out of everything, and gives enough technical insight so you understand some other things for the future. If you're curious, this television set is a Samsung LN-T2353H 23" 720p LCD HDTV. It's a good dorm size, but I get to play on the 50" 1080p Panny plasma when I go home for breaks so it's a good deal.
