How are your sack totals?
I am the Bills, so my def front 7 isn't anything special, and I play on my skill, so that may not help you out. I get about 1.5 per game. I am also NEVER sacked.

Re: How are your sack totals?
I average 1-2 a game, with 2-3 a game against me. I don't know what it is but it seems like everytime my linemen get close to the QB they either fall down like tards or he gets out a perfect pass when he's already halfway to the ground. If it wasn't for those two unrealistic things I would average 5-7 a game.CubsTitansSouthern MissMan UtdComment

I get about 2-4 a game. Most of the time the QB gets the pass off RIGHT when I hit him

Re: How are your sack totals?
Sounds like everyone is getting pretty realistic sack numbers. With the exception of the 5-7 a game, the 2-4 is on par with what's happening in the league right now. Last year, the Vikings led the league in sacks with a line that everyone viewed as the most overpowering in the league. They totaled 46 sacks on the season; an average of 2.8 a game.
What I'm interested in is who is getting the sacks? If you're running the 3-4, are the OLBs getting the sacks or is it still the ends? If you're running the 4-3, is the LE dominating while the RE is shut out?"A man can only be beaten in two ways: if he gives up, or if he dies."Comment

Re: How are your sack totals?
I average about 2 sacks a game this season, but I have a 95 and 75 overall DT's and an 87 and 75 DE, with 87,91,80 Lb's. So for the most part its pretty realistic.I would have a lot more if it weren't for the Qb launching perfect passes as hes getting hit. What I did for sliders is take my skill and then tweaked it.Ill usually play 2 games before I tweak anything again, always looking at the teams I'm playing compared to mine to get as close to realistic stats as possible. The only problem I'm having now is CPU Qb's in the 4th quarter turning into superman and inflating their passing yards ridiculously....
To the above poster I mainly control my LE and it seems no matter how good my RE is he still only gets 2 or 3 sacks a season unless I control him. That goes for my DT's as well. I controlled my DT last year with a 91 overall an lead the league in sacks now I use my LE only and my DT's numbers are suffering.Last edited by ABR173rd; 12-23-2010, 04:21 PM.Comment

Re: How are your sack totals?
Just after I switched, now I get a ton of sacks. Which is fine because the CPU doesn't throw incompletions.Comment

Re: How are your sack totals?
Thats who I control on all my plays, so I beat a lot of guards with swim moves. Its actually fairly easy to break off a guard, its the getting to the QB without tripping over a yardline or getting to him then him throwing a perfect pass when he's halfway to the ground part thats difficult.CubsTitansSouthern MissMan UtdComment

Re: How are your sack totals?
My sack totals have been interesting, I play with custom sliders. 12 on pass and rush offense and 13 on pass and rush defense. Seven minute quarters, no accelerated clock, slow speed, 50 threshold.
My first season in my Rams 'chise I racked up a ton. Chris Long had a total of 18 (8 in one game against the Robert You led Chiefs, no idea who that guy is). There was a pretty big drop off after that.
In my second season I don't have nearly as many. Off the top of my head Chris Long and Fred Robbins have around 6 each heading into week 16. I'm around the very bottom in the league in sacks despite Long progressing to a 90 OVR in the second year.
It doesn't look like any of my d-lineman will be breaking 10 sacks, which is unfortunate
I user control Chris Long at LE quite often and I can usually blast past the opposing RT and get a good hit on the QB as he throws.
I drafted a B potential RE who came in at 74 OVR, and I haven't revamped my DT squad yet. I'm hoping to see more sacks as that area improves. Fingers crossed.Comment
