Coaching Legacy of Roger Davis- NCAA 11

Okay, so here's whats going on. I chose West Virginia in dynasty mode, and got them to the National Title. Well, I lost to Ohio State. Then I was offered an extension at WVU, a contract at LSU, and a contract at Michigan. Well, I decided it was best to go to a power from the SEC, so I chose LSU. When I joined, I realized they went 4-8. Now its a rebuilding project. So I decided to start one as LSU in the year 2011. I set up a press conference, and here it is.

LSU PRESS CONFERENCE
AD: "We are here today to announce a new head coach today. Les Miles has stepped down as LSU head coach after our poor 4-8 season. Many believed we could have won the national championship this year. But, we have found a new head coach. Everyone please welcome, our new head coach, Roger Davis."

(Davis walks in the conference room)

Davis: "Thank you everybody for coming here today. Everyone, change is about to take place here in Baton Rouge. After the 4-8 season this year, something new has to happen. Im sure everyone remembers me coming here and beating you guys early last year. But, with me playing you guys, I know what I have on the table. Probably answering most of your questions, we are going to run what I had a West Virginia. 3-3-5 defense, and the spread offense. I believe we have the right group of guys to run both offenses. I know I do not look like the most qualified guy for the job, but I hope everyone knows about what I did at West Virginia in 1 year. I hated leaving my alma mater, but I saw a better oppurtunity here at LSU. I thank Oliver Luck for giving me the oppurtunity at West Virginia, and allowing me to take over here. Again thank you everybody for coming out here today, hope to see you guys when the season starts."

During the bye week, Davis worked hard on recruiting and has signed 4-star Free Safety Jamarcus Witherspoon, the 3rd ranked FS in this year's recruiting class.

LSU was held under wraps for most of the game, until the fourth quarter, where they had 4 touchdowns. Theres nothing to say except for two words: LSU dominated.

Something did happen midway through the first though. Coach Davis benched QB Jordan Jefferson after throwing his second interception. He was playing terrible beforehand. Davis commented on the benching of his QB, "Jordan was not playing to the standards I had set for this team. I told him if Jarrett (Lee) underperformed that he would be back out on the field. Jarrett played with heart, enthusiasm, and got us the W. He will be our starting QB. I am not starting a QB controversy, because Jarrett gives us the best chance to win. I may try to get Jordan in on some running situations though."
