Rosters, Injuries, and NBA Today: How do these work in relation?

I am having an interesting dilemma with this game. I love the work the people in the rosters board do here. Some guys have done awesome jobs on creating super great rosters that are awesome to use in any game mode.

I also love the NBA Today feature, and love how it updates to keep injured players on the bench and the like. How do these features all intertwine? If I download a roster of off 2kShare, what players are injured? What determines these injuries? Can we manually set injuries? I am really confused by this and don't know how to use a downloaded roster in NBA Today with updated injuries. Is that even possible? Thanks a ton.

I don't believe you can set injuries, I think when you download a roster from 2k share the injuries are determined by the roster that the creator used.
