Re: winngin the heisman trophy
Won it with a WR in year 1 as Purdue. Guy had roughly 100 catches, 1750 yards, and 16 TDs. -

Re: winngin the heisman trophy
I've found that you often need to be on a team that plays in a conference championship game. I've been the leading candidate many times with a Big Ten team (I had a guy on Michigan rush for over 2,000 yards his senior year) but lose out because a guy from the Big 12 or SEC played an extra game.Comment

Re: winngin the heisman trophy
I have no idea. I have a running back in my Auburn dynasty that is currently a senior. He was runner-up his freshman and junior years with unbelievable stats. Didn't even get a sniff his sophomore year. Here are his stats
Freshman = 2348 yards, 32 TDs, 5.8 yds/carry
Sophmore = 1678 yards, 24 TDs, 4.9 yds/carry
Junior = 2769 yards, 38 TDs, 7.1 yds/carry
Now in NCAA11's defense, his junior year a WR from SMU won it that had 249 catches for 2498 yds and 28 TDs. Not that realistic that someone has 2500 receiving yards in one year, but if he did he should probably win the heisman. He was a 95-ovr receiver (redshirt senior) playing against C-USA competition so maybe, but seems pretty unbelievable to me.Comment

Re: winngin the heisman trophy
I won one with a WR from Arkansas State, was a JUCO recruit, I think in year 3 he won it. He had something like 170 catches, 2500 yards, and 26 touchdowns.
I know, I know, unreal stats, but he's all I had as I was Arky State, and he was 6'7".Comment

Re: winngin the heisman trophy
The Heisman is largely random in this game, and I have proof.
I'm Florida, and I play the SEC Champ game, and it saves. It then goes the to Heisman winner and it's my QB. I mess around looking at stats, then turn off my 360.
So next time I go to play it, I turn it on, it goes back to just after I win the SECCG, and then goes to the Heisman results screen again.
This time, the TE from Texas wins it, and my QB finshes 3rd. Stats all the same, everything the same, except now someone else wins it AND my guy falls to 3rd!
Kinda dumb.Comment

Re: winngin the heisman trophy
My RS Freshman WR won it last season (108 rec 1939 yds 16 TD and 1 rushing TD) from my ECU dynasty. He was also my part-time KR and PR. The current season, he quickly dropped from the polls in spite of having similar numbers. However, he isn't a returner this year. I wonder if that makes a difference?Comment

Re: winngin the heisman trophy
Having a championship game helps an unrealistic amount, its like they get stats and as if you have a game and record zero.
I had a RB break Barry Sanders record and he got beat by like the 3rd best WR because he played in the SEC championship game, his final was like 1500 yds and 14 TD's or something.GT: TheHippySteveComment

Re: winngin the heisman trophy
My question is how many have won it without playing in a conference championship game?GT: TheHippySteveComment

Re: winngin the heisman trophy
I just won the Heisman in my OD without playing in the conf championship, but it was a weird deal. I'm ND, but playing in the Big XII. I had a RS Senior WR that was awesome for me, through 10 games he was leading the Heisman race, and had been for quite awhile. Lost the last game of the conference season to finish 7-1 and the guy that beat me went to the championship game.
Then I had a cpu game in week 13, had like 7 catches for 120 yards and 2 td's at the start of the 2nd qtr. On the 2nd TD catch, my receiver caught the ball in the endzone for the TD, but got hit as he did. Then he was laying there afterwards, and it turns out he was knocked out for 4 freaking weeks. Had never seen a guy get injured in the endzone like that, just a kick in the balls. Anyway, the next week he drops to number 4 on the list, despite still having a great game and the 3 that passed him did nothing special.
So I had 1 last game, against a stacked OSU user team and got throttled. No change in his Heisman standing. I finish 10-2, with several users in conf championship games, including ones with Heisman contenders ahead of my guy.
When I advanced the OD, it popped up that my guy had won. I almost dropped my controller, couldn't believe he came back to win like that, and it turned out to be a landslide. Had good stats, by far the best for a WR, something like 70 catches, 1700 yards, 20 TD's or something, but one of the users had a QB with insane numbers and he was undefeated. Still amazed I stole that one. Sorry Schrute, but I'll trade ya that for the BCS title anyday

Re: winngin the heisman trophy
5th year of my dynasty, 1st with Michigan and Devin Gardner is my quarterback. He runs for over 2,000 yards, 25 TD's and passed for over 2,000 yards and like 22 TD's he was in the lead for the Heisman the whole season. Yet, Alabama's quarterback won it, because I guess he played in the conference championship game. His stats weren't close to mine, yet he wins. It has to do with me not playing and they are.Comment

had 21 TD and i forgot how many repetitions and yards he had lol
