Top 5 teams to start a dynasty with...?

Where is the team for NCAAF? I am literally stuck. I've tried starting a dynasty with teams such as Northwestern, Florida State, Teambuilder teams, my own school UNLV, etc...

I just can't seem to find a school that I love playing as. For me to get addicted to a dynasty I need a team that is fun to look at (jersey wise) in a good conference, but isn't an elite team that still needs rebuilding. So, OS...I know this is a pretty stupid question...but what do YOU think is the top team to start a dynasty with in NCAA Football 11? Based on what I stated above?

Michigan is a team that has some good young players, but also has a D that needs serious rebuilding, so they're a good option.

South Carolina is a team that's one step away from greatness. Same for Texas A&M.

Thanks for the responses guys. I like teams like Texas A&M just because of their lower prestige. Michigan is 6* in that category so I feel that is still too easy to rebuild...more like one season and its rebuilt lol.

Check out Wyoming-- their playbook is a lot of fun to use if you like spread (some unconventional formations), and though their jerseys are hideous-- I enjoy them because they're so unique. haha They have a young QB who is pretty good so you can start the rebuilding process with a little more confidence as he's not going anywhere.

Also check out Western Kentucky! Great Unis, and another cool playbook-- and wow are they bad. haha

BUT if you really want a challenge-- I haven't played a harder rebuilding process than Utah State! Sharp jerseys, but they are SO bad...in a TERRIBLE recruiting situation as well. But this year I went 9-4; as I am a glutton for punishment...I did put myself in the ACC from the start which doesn't make it any easier!

I don't know if it is the top team given your criteria, but I've had great fun with East Carolina. Middle-of-the-road team in a weaker conference. Good pipeline area for recruiting. Air Raid is a nice change of pace for me.

I highly recommend Mississippi State. They play in the best conference, have pretty good players, are a pretty low prestige (3* I believe), have decent uniforms (though I hate their aways), and have a great playbook.

I tried with Central Michigan on Heisman with sliders and got romped. Lots of screaming and we'll leave it at that. I think I will try Middle Tenn or Westen Kentucky next. Never looked at them, so should be fun.. I hope..lol

I had the same problem a couple months ago..I couldn't find a team to love.

Then I discovered Oklahoma State.

They have sweet uniforms, especially the alternate black with alternate helmets, an Air Raid offense with Justin Blackmon at WR and Hunter at RB. Big12 conference so the schedule is not a cake walk, a sweet stadium, fight song, etc. Recruiting can be challenging also. You will get in high scoring shootouts because the defense is middle of the road, but for me, the most fun I've had with this game. Do some research on how to properly run the air raid, there's plenty of info on this site and a couple others, if you run it right it is so hard to stop. I go with the BYU playbook because it has everything you need raid wise, and a nice selection of Iform.

I had a Oklahoma State Dynasty (on old xbox) i must say that it was fun to play with them lol their defense is good and i loved their TE who won the heisman for me in the first year

1. UTEP (Texas Recruiting, decent amount of unis to keep it "fresh", good oppertunity for conference jump)
2. BYU (can either recruit from Midwest or West, respectable mid-major conference)
3. New Mexico (Texas recruiting, quite easy to make a jump to Pac-10 or Big 12)
4. Syracuse (Can jump to ACC or Big Ten)
5. Washington State

Personally, I jumped from New Mexico (as QB coach) to Mizzou (OC) as soon as I got NM into the Big 12, and I fell it love with Mizzou. Great Unis, some challenging recruiting, respectable schedule, and I inherited a 90 OVR sophmore who is the perfect spread fit.

I started with 5* (now 6*) Auburn and in the early years games against Mississipi State gave me as much trouble as any Bama game or any @ LSU game. Same thing with Arkansas (early games resembled this years' real life score-fest) which also wouldn't be a bad choice here as you'd probably be adding in a more diverse passing attack than with State.

Look through many of the "Which Playbook...." threads, as well, to maybe dig a little deeper into teams you're considering. MS St always seems to get a lot of push within these threads (similar to my Auburn playbook but, as I read, with a few more wrinkles)

Indiana is a good one. The pistol is fun to use. The state of Indiana sucks with recruiting but you have Ohio right next door with a lot of talent to choose from. Michigan and Illinois also produce a lot of recruits.
