Starting QB Goes AWOL
 

First preseason game of 2015. Pregame shows my backup pumping up the team, and he's under center when the offense takes the field. Cut scene shows the starter on the sidelines with his cup of Gatorade, but I can't get him in the game. Tried changing the depth chart. Tried formation subs but he's not shown as being available.

Only thing I know to try now is after this game I'll release and re-sign him.

All you can do. He's holding out. Morale and it's effects are still there, they are just invisible to the user. Have you drafted a QB high or signed a high price QB lately?

It's McNabb, at age 38. He played on a 1 year contact in 2014 and was re-signed for two years in the offseason. His potential successor was drafted last year, but his OVR is only 76 at this point. Team was 11-5 last season with a 1-1 playoff record.

Hmm. Maybe the fact that you drafted his successor while he was there upset him a bit? It happened in real life.
