Scoring with Joakim Noah...

I play with the Knicks and I traded Randolph and Azabuike for Joakim Noah. He plays sick defense and pulls down a bunch of rebounds, but I can't score with him a lick. It's not a huge deal because I have STAT and Melo scoring, but I don't like seeing Noah with 4 points a game if that. My question is, am I just going to have to live with zero offensive production or am I doing something wrong? Even corner jumpshots and back-down layups miss.

I basically use him in the pick n' roll and beating slower defenders of the drible...

You won't be able to play like his real-life counterpart because offensive rebounding is broken.

I think you could use the post or the pick n roll with him, but he isn't a offensive threat, i mainly use him for rebounds and defense

They come very close to trading him in a package for Melo.

edit: of course if u have the opportunity to get melo, u can think about letting him go (i wouldnt but i understand) but trading him for AR and azu? no way

Hey, I'm not going to complain. I scored big time. Azabuike doesn't really add anything to the Knicks because I've got Gallo, Douglas and Felton as shooters. Felton is playing out of his gourd right now - I had a 47 point/14 assist/(NBA Record) 13 steal game with him!

You can live with Noah as a near non-factor offensively...i mean his points can come from pick-n-roll, alley-oops, and FTs...with Melo, STAT, Felton that's your offense right there.

That's not his role. Use Amare to score in the post, and then give him open dunks.

Are you winning? cuz if you are who cares about how many points per game noah is averaging? if the guy is playing solid D and cleanin the glass, does it really matter if he is averaging 4 pts per game?

Yeah, he doesn't need to be an offensive threat when you have other players

While he doesn't need to be an offensive threat, it's nice to have him averaging roughly 10-12 points per game. What I do is give it to him in the post sometimes and let him face-up and shoot a mid-range J, run pick and rolls or pick and pops, and sometimes just penetrate and find him under the rim. Try that and good luck with it buddy.

Thanks for the hints, I'll try them out and let you know how they work. My offense has hit a bit of a hiccup, actually, I've gone from about 111 a game to about 102 for a few games and the way this team plays defense (other than Noah), I need to score more than that. A bit of added production from Noah might be just what the doctor ordered.
