As a kid I would watch those horrific Knicks teams manned by Hubie Brown.
What an initiation huh?

I ended up gravitating to Bernard King as my guy.
Mostly because I noticed on his Basketball card that he was born on my b-day, December 4th.
But the way he dominated games really stood out.
Man he was something.
He seemed like he could score 40 a night if he wanted to, makes me wonder why he didnt.

As i grew older the Ewing Knicks were the rage and my guy as a young adult was Anthony Mason. But to a lesser extent and I never really said, 'he's my guy'.
Presently as far as Knicks go? Gallinari. [But I can sure see Landry Fields making his way yup that ladder pretty quickly]. Though my favorite non Knick is far and away Kevin Durant.
Just seems old school to me.
I think there are parallels between my fave as a youth [King] and my fav today [Durant] both being sick scorers at will. Though I do think that Durant has better range.
I know there are more comparable old schoolers than King, like Gervin for example.
But I am looking for any parallel, to see if there was a certain guy i gravitate too.
I guerss I gravitate to those old school scorer types.
Other players I took a liking to through the years:
Ray Williams
Greg Anthony
Anyways, what do you guys think?
