I've heard bad things about this reboot....David E. Kelley doesn't seem to be the type to helm a comic book property but i'll give him a chance at it.

I will give the show a chance, only b/c of Adrianne Palicki from Friday Night Lights will be playing the lead.

That would explain why her hair was darker and longer in the last 2 episodes of FNL.

When they named the girl from Friday Night Lights I was thinking the head cheerleader. I don't know about this blonde, and I don't know about it working as a tv show. I'll check it out, out of curiosity.

I wonder if they'll have her wear the classic WW bathing suit or use the current look in the comics?

I'm guessing they might go towards the original, just off the fact that Palicki is 5'11" (right around where WW was when she first appeared, as opposed to the current WW who is 6'3").

                  But who knows.

Some strange things about this series too.

The project is rare detour into the fantastic for Kelley, who earlier created "Ally McBeal," "The Practice," "Chicago Hope," "Picket Fences," "Boston Legal" and "Harry's Law."

Not actually based on what I've read.

This new series is supposed to make The Amazonian a corporate executive. And not only is Adrianne playing the alter-ego Diana Themyscira, but she's also playing the assistant to Diana, Diana Prince.

Yea...Not sure how that's going to work, but we shall see, I guess. Or maybe we won't. It's only a pilot pick up.

It sounds lamer the way it's worded there than the article I first read about it in:
The show is said to be a non-campy take on the character that presents the superhero character as “a vigilante crime fighter in LA but also a successful corporate executive and a modern woman trying to balance all of the elements of her extraordinary life.” Palicki will also play Wonder Woman’s two alter egos, a mega-billionaire CEO named Diana Themyscira and Diana’s “plain Jane” assistant Diana Prince.
                          ...
Jeffrey Reiner, who was a director and producer in the first couple seasons of Friday Night Lights and directed pilots for Trauma and The Event, as well as for Caprica at Syfy, will helm the pilot episode.
Friday Night Lights actress Adrianne Palicki has been cast as DC superhero Wonder Woman in the announced NBC television pilot. That's a little much, I think. You're gonna have a difficult time finding an actress with those amazing dimensions, let alone a single human female.
