    Bulls/Pistons...20 years later.

It's suprising and refreshing to see how much bitterness and hatred there still is with these guys. You just don't hear players calling eachother classless these days.

Bulls/Pistons, Celtics/Pistons, Celtics/Sixers(Dr. J/Bird era) & Heat/Knicks were some of the nastiest NBA rivalries I've ever seen. I wish we had more of that today.

Pippen calling Isiah 'classless' - I lol'd. Much as I hate Pippen, he's right.

The Bad boys were peerless. And my hatred of the MJ Bulls has burned to this day; so much so that I have had to forgo the best hoops game of this generation because I refuse to buy a game that features MJ and is centered on his exploits. Some hate never dies...

As a Knick fan, I hear you. I have no love for Jordan either. Now I play 2K, but I'll never bother with those Jordan challenges, lol.

I feel the same way about Isiah and respect the fact that you keep the home fires burning.

Yeah, mutual Jistic. Although I live far from Motown now, it's always near to the heart...and I just can't trash decades of passionate dislike at the drop of a hat. Sure, over time I've mellowed, but man - I spent so much time hating MJ, just can't bring myself to do it. Same goes for the Celtics, and it was 10x worse when I was living in New England (!). 2k10 is holding me over until 2k12....

I completely understand the Isiah hate, BTW...although I grew up idolizing the guy, I sort of knew I never wanted to actually meet him because it would ruin it for me. I still think that...I'd rather just hold on to my idealized childhood memories.

I always liked Isiah the player. The cat was an all-time great, one of the best ever, an assassin on the court. It's Isiah the executive/businessman I hate, and you folks outside NYC know why.

Wow I love this thread and it is refueling my hatred! I am a big Pistons fan and live in Chicago now so I love it whenever the Bulls lose, though I do enjoy watching Rose play. He is the only Bulls player I have rooted for aside from Rodman and Lindsay Hunter. I have had some spectacular basketball arguments with coworkers the last 5 years living here about Jordan and those teams. Like others have posted earlier, I miss those great basketball rivalries, and we will likely never see that kind of intensity again in the NBA between 2 teams.
                My Teams:
                NFL - Washington Redskins
                MLB - Detroit Tigers
                NBA - Detroit Pistons
                NHL - Washington Capitals
                NCAA - Virginia Cavaliers
                NCAA - Arkansas Razorbacks
                NCAA - Michigan St Spartans
