Re: any knight-like rosters out yet?
yes I do realize that, it is just a question and if you dont have an answer there is no reason to come into the thread and post that nonsense. I used a pretty good roster last year that came out around a week after the game so I was just curious.Comment

Re: any knight-like rosters out yet?
No one is going to have "Knightlike Rosters" in 5% the time it takes a whole team of guys to do it in.
If it were just editing the names (like 2K), then it would be that easy.
The more I think about, the completely fake minor league players is pretty half-arsed by SCEA, considering their quality on every other aspect.GATEWAY TO GREATNESS: 2010 CARDINALS FRANCHISE

Re: any knight-like rosters out yet?
What's wrong with people on here? The dude asked a fair question: does anyone know of any rosters yet that are PRETTY good? Why does everyone have to jump down his throat. Either say "no," "yes, they are [fill in the blank]," or DONT SAY ANYTHING AT ALL. It's that simple.Comment

Re: any knight-like rosters out yet?
Personally, I don;t think it's a fair question. It takes the OS team about a month to create the minor leaguers. What can be done that is "Knight-like" in 4 days?
The guy asked for a roster that has real minor leaguers in it. Who is going to have that done in 4 days? One would need to create ~1200 players?
I can appreciate the question, because we'd all prefer to have real minor leaguers in a roster. But, if someone could do it faster than Knight/OS, they would.
Is it very possible that the question asker has no idea how involved it is create a roster with real minor leaguers. That's the part that takes all the time.GATEWAY TO GREATNESS: 2010 CARDINALS FRANCHISE

1) The OP didn't ask for a roster, he asked if there is a roster. Those are two VERY different things and until you can distinct the two, you shouldn't try to get down on him so much.Personally, I don;t think it's a fair question. 2) He did not ask for anything close to Knight's roster. He isn't dumb, he knows it takes time for those people to put together the best roster. However, that doesn't mean someone hasn't just put the names in and edited the big time prospects which I think the OP would very much use until Knight's gang is done. You said it yourself, just adding the names of all minor leaguers would be easy, would it be too hard then to edit just 2 prospect ratings per team? Why would that be so impossible?
Again, he's asking if there is a roster, he isn't asking FOR one. Very different."I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed"

Re: any knight-like rosters out yet?
last year i created a roster with 7-10 of each clubs top prospects and it took 2.5 days. Im gonna do it again this year. I need to get some rockstar from the store. Im going to start building my research file today and start on the actual player edits. they will be general looking player i will try and get them to have the right accessories and such. But they will raw on the looks. I focus on the ratings of players. And when i say 7-10 if the game already has the player in the i dont add a new player to the list. Again its rough and just a set to get you by until knights come out. Im hoping to be done by mid wednesday
Its basically Keith Laws top 100 prospects + 200ish moreLast edited by osubeavs721; 03-13-2011, 08:58 AM.Comment

They cant do it any other way. They have to be completely fake.No one is going to have "Knightlike Rosters" in 5% the time it takes a whole team of guys to do it in.

Re: any knight-like rosters out yet?
I used OSUbeaves last year and they were well done and the year before when Ridin did his own he was pumping out full sets in the matter of days and were very good and I used his for 09. It does and can happen. I still prefer Ridins work over anyones. Guy can work a set like no other, but that's to my expectations. Names, ratings and potential is all I really need.Comment

Re: any knight-like rosters out yet?
You just tried to sound smart, but sounded the exact opposite. Asking fo or if there is a roster is the same, when his intetions to use them are the same. And also he did ask for a roster with all or most of the prospects for all the teams...sounds "Knight-Like" to me, good sir1) The OP didn't ask for a roster, he asked if there is a roster. Re: any knight-like rosters out yet?
There are times in life whe Iwill be prick. It's a combination of me being a straight-talker and usually being in a rush. In this case I tried to explain why there was not such a roster, instead of just saying "No".
The difference between the Knight/OS roster and the SCEA roster is "accurate minor leaguers".
Here are some points ...
[1] What idiot is going to go through and assign minor leaguers just real names without changing the apperance and/or ratings? Who would put that much effort into something so meaningless? If you were going to do that you could just "pretend" that the fake minor leaguers are real ones.
[2] Somebody in here claimed to have made a roster containing between 210-300 accurate (created) MiLBers in 2.5 days. At that rate the "Full Minors Rosters" could be done in about 9 days. THIS guy should be doing the roster. We'd have it done by the end of this upcoming week, instead of by opening day (or whenever).
[3] The reason the Knght/OS roster is worth waiting for is because it has accurate appearances, ratings, styles, ... anything else would pretty much just be a half-arsed attempt that wouldn't be worth using or creating.
I am pretty much doing the same as someone else by creating/editing either the BA Top 100 (about 40 of which are in the player vault already), or the prospects that may get MLB experience this year (by my count, 211 prospects). Since most of us play 1-2 seasons, it's debatable whether any of us "needs" full minors.
But, it takes a while to look up the appearance, face, ratings, of a single player and create them in the game.
The ONLY difference between the OS rosters and the SCEA rosters are accurate names, real life stances, real appearances, etc. The ratings will play bthe same in regards to RTTS. So, asking for a roster or if there is a roster, is the same question. It's basically asking if someone has made a "Knight Roster" in 5% of the time.
The answer, obviously, is "of course not". No matter how it is stated, it is the same answer ... for the same reason.
Really, given that we'r all big boys, it shouldn't matter if gentle words are used or not. 4 days after the release someone is asking if a 30-day project is done in 4 days. Think about what type of response that question would bring about among your real life peer group. i think we are being rather gentle.Last edited by TripleThreat1973; 03-13-2011, 06:09 PM.GATEWAY TO GREATNESS: 2010 CARDINALS FRANCHISE
