Phil Frazier, Executive Producer for Madden NFL 12, has just announced that a teaser video will be released early next week with several new features to be shown.

What features are you hoping to see?

Exactly as the thread title says, lol too bad we have to wait an entire week. I'm wondering what feature they'll announce? Franchise mode finally getting some attention?

And teaser video? Have they ever shown a video this early before? I know its only a teaser and of course they'e had their engine built for ages now, but it'll be interesting to see what they show

It will probably be along the lines of todays NCAA announcement with graphics and art updates (Phil tweeted a few weeks ago about a new camera system that would be talked about soon), but I'm curious to see what they have done with the modes (ie FRANCHISE). I trust that the gameplay will be great as we have seen the last two years.

I'm sure any features unveiled at this stage will be visual/gameplay based. What we are all waiting for is the announcement that the Franchise mode has been given a massive overhaul.
Hopefully this year EA will couple their solid game of Football with an experience that is as grandiose as that which belies the world of the NFL.

I actually think this years Madden is going be it's biggest jump in quality. I barely played last years but after seeing what NCAA is looking like you can bet that Madden 12 will have all that and more this year IMO.

I wouldn't get my hopes up for Franchise mode upgrades in this years Madden. From listening to the podcasts and talking with some people who have a good understanding of what it would take to get it done, I would not expect any offline or online franchise changes until next year. The devs are talking about completely rebuliding franchise mode, right now the franchise mode they are using is essentially built by the previous team. I would look for Madden 13 to be a complete overhaul of franchise mode(s) enabling the devs to put all the content they have backloaded over the last 3 years out at one time. Remember these development cyxcles are ridiculously tight and they will not completely strip the game of franchise mode just to do it the way they want to see it presented.

I wonder if it will be an actual teaser video (similar to the procedural awareness and running with green screen videos from two years ago) or a teaser trailer like they would show on G4TV. My guess is the first

Er... wasn't that basically exactly what was said about Madden 11? "Oh, no we can't do all the changes to franchise mode we would like to make this year, but wait for next year!"
