best hitting camera to reduce strikeouts??

I know this issue has been discussed in other posts, but I'm trying to centralize the info. for myself. The game is great, however I'm simply striking out WAY too much and am looking for tips on what camera people use to reduce K's. Man, I've played the same game against Bronson Arroyo and I strike out at least 12 times a game - that damn slider gets me all the time.

I currently use catcher default to hit because I've used it every other year. I've experimented a little bit with other cameras but don't see any improvement so I end up back at catcher default. I'm not sure I can blame my hitting camera for all of my strikeouts, but would like to know what others are using that have the same problem as me. I use timing hitting and play on HOF. I'm sure some will say to go down to All-Star, but my hit totals are right where they should be. I've had to lower my power slider one click because I'm hitting too many homers (in games where I'm not batting against Arroyo) on default. After the Arroyo game I faced the #2 starter and got 13 hits, 6 homers in the first 5 innings including 3 in the 1st inning.

So what camera angle do you find works best to reduce K's? Thanks

I used Wide to cut down K's last year and I just started using Wide 3 and that looks like it's helping.

Since there already a huge thread about this and subsequent threads with the same question usually get closed, maybe you should do try doing something different with this one and create a poll. That would be the best way to centralize the info like you want. You'd probably get a lot more answers too since I'm sure people are getting sick of seeing this question over and over and won't even click the thread.

Just trying to provide some constructive criticism.

ANYWAY, I can't figure out if I like catcher 3 or catcher 9 more...

As you'll discover from the responses in this thread, this is all subjective. Catcher 3 is amazing in my opinion, however many people like Wide Offset, Catcher 5, Catcher 9, Wide, etc etc.

You just need to mess around with each based on which pitches are giving you trouble. If it is the low pitchers, then Catcher 3, 4, or 5 may be something for you to look at. If it's judging the speed, some of the offset cameras can really help with that.

            try this

Wide offset [which gives you the best view of the gorgeous stadiums] then take it to the editor and bring the camera down all the way as far as it will go so its closer to the ground.
that way you get the best of both worlds

great stadium view and a straight on look at pitches coming in. good for reading and hitting those low pitches.

tho i can't promise u can still hit certain pitchers 12-6 curves!

I'm going to try this myself. I noticed in my short time with it, that with the best hitting cameras you miss the great views of the stadiums, this is exactly the info I, myself was looking for. Also, with this set-up does it seem like you can read pitches thrown for balls as well?

I use the default cam, but then I go into the editor, move it closer to the ground, and back a fuzz.

With the camera editor, there is no need to subject yourself to the default camera options (though some of them aren't bad) if they are not working for you.

                  Yes you can.
Though it will take a bit to get used to the new view especially if your a hacker and had big trouble reading high and low pitches.

With this view you can tell balls and strikes better than any other, IMO.

I've used catcher cams 3,5 and 9. At this point I like 9 the best. I've found that with 5 I could see breaking balls in the dirt better, but high strikes were becoming a problem.

I'm using Wide Offset, but having trouble with pitches low, so I'm gonna try the tip posted earlier, of customizing this cam to a lower angle (not sure I'll go all the way down though)

I know that this is all very subjective, but Catcher 9 seems to have solved my swinging addiction.

For those of you that created a custom camera view to aid your hitting, if you do a in-game screenshot of it and post it that would be awesome.
