Sliding through the difficulty gap

Almost exact copy of my post in the general thread, in which I was referred here:

Ok, I've read these forums for a long time, just never posted. At this point though, I'm willing to give it a shot. I'm in the 11th year of my Bucs franchise, team rating is a 94, and playing on All-Madden difficulty with no sliders touched.

My issue is this: if I move the difficulty down to 14 overall, it's a blow-out. I'm talking like 73-10, I register 6-10 sacks and get at least 5 INT's. My entire D-Line is 95 or above, the worst starting spot on my defense is a 91 (I build through the draft). If I keep the difficulty on All-Madden, I get destroyed, with just that one point difference! My front 4 gets zero pressure, my WR's with 95 Catch or higher will drop anywhere from 10-15 combined passes per game. My HB with 99 Carry will fumble at least 4 times, each time while I'm holding to Protect the Ball. I'll get zero sacks, zero INT's, and the CPU will rush for AT LEAST 250 yards on me, breaking an average of 20 tackles per game in 5 minute quarters. It's ridiculous.

I love Madden, I wanna keep playing Madden, but not being able to find a reasonable challenge is driving me nuts. It's unrealistic, whether in my favor or horribly against me. Watching my guys blow tackles, coverage assignments, and easy wide open catches is killing me.

I've looked through these sliders, but don't quite know enough to pick, so I'm hoping for advice. Obviously, I'm shooting for somewhere between 14 and All-Madden. As corny and obvious as it sounds... I want my player's ratings to matter. I've put a lot of time into progressing them, and to see 97 and 98 cornerbacks getting shamed by WR's with overall of 70 or so makes it a complete waste of time.

Re: Sliding through the difficulty gap

A couple of us got some good all-madden sliders on here that eliminate most of the BS that goes on with default all-madden especially drop passes.. You can try my sliders but my advise to you is to start with my sliders I have in red and work your way up to what I have in black. My sliders are pretty difficult but what I have in red should be a good starting point for you.. My link is in my signature. Try em out and let me know where your having trouble at and I will help you tweak them to suit your style of play.. Give them a shot. You will never get a good challenge from the CPU if you dip the sliders lower then 15 or move any of the total categories higher then 75. So check out my sliders and let me know how they go..

1st game in the books. I won 38-35, came down to needing a first down at the very end to run the clock out. You have my thanks, sir.

No problem.. Post some stats from some of your games when you get a chance and let me know if your having any problems in certain areas and I'll help you tweak it.. You using the ones in red right? If any of them become easy slowly raise up the CPU sliders to get a better challenge.

Yup, I used the ones in red. I'll post the next game I do, thanks again.

How much clock do you play with? They only threw it 9 times and do you having any issues that you feel need to be fixed on either side of the ball or do you wanna play a few more games and see how those go before you make any changes?
