I know I'm inept but I can't bodycheck anyone (Xbox 360). Which sliders can I tweak, and any hints would be appreciated, thank you.

Re: Body checking
I'd tweak the "Checking Power" slider mainly, as those with a high "Bodychecking" rating will have bone crunching hits. -

Re: Body checking
It's based on momentum and (theoretically) the size of the two players involved. The reason I say theoretically is that it isn't perfect, and that with slider adjustments, size differences in terms of hitting power can either be exaggerated or reduced. Make sure you've got some momentum and get close to the player with the puck, then push the right thumbstick in the direction of that player. If you have a proper angle, enough momentum, and the opposing player does not move out of the way, you should at the very least make decent contact.Chris_SCEA_sports is my hero. Re: Body checking
When I started playing this game I couldn't check anyone either.
Open ice checks were so damn hard to time too, next to impossible for me.
In NHL10 it was way easier for me.
It just takes time to get used to it really.
I never messed with the sliders & I can check pretty good.
My checks/hit are almost on par with the amount of shots I take on goal.
IMO honestly it's all about timing, just practice...
It's will come.
IMO if your messed with hit power, you'll just end up with more injuries/ long term injuries.
I've missed a few checks & injured my own players.
Messing with individual players would take so much time, & makes thing less realistic.
Some players have the skill to lay out guys, some don't.

Re: Body checking
You should ask my friend how to check. We are playing an Edmonton Dynasty and he ended our 2nd season with 912 Hits in 82 games. He has a created player with 99 Bodychecking and 89 Strength ( started at 75 with A in development).
Here is an example of what he does best:
