doesn't get dark fast enough in night games?

Anyone else kind of agree with this? Most night games in the Show don't really get dark until the 7th inning when in reality, most are dark by the 4th or 5th inning. Just wondering if anyone else notices this or if i'm just nuts? Sorry if this has been covered already.

They adjusted it cause it got too dark last year.

If you are talking exhibition, I believe the games are based on mid-summer progression.

In Franchise/Season, it gets darker sooner early in the year, and later in the summer, back to sooner in the Fall.

          This.
It's exactly how it should be.
With exhibition it gets dark so late because its indeed based on mid-summer.
Hoping for next year we can set the starting time at any time we like

Just play a night rain game in exhibition. It's dark at first pitch. There seems to be no difference to me in game conditions, I can't even see the rain falling.

Yeah, I think it progresses perfectly this year. As the others said, exhibition games go off summer progression. Season is dynamic.

The rain is variable, but you can definitely see it when it is falling. You can see the droplets in the dirt and chalked areas... pretty cool stuff.

not sure what planet some of you guys live on but it's pretty damn accurate. Look at the clock during a game, it doesn't get dark til after 8pm during this time of year and even later in the summer so it's just about right.

Geeez, first it got dark too quick. Now it takes too long to get dark. We are never happy!!!

im on planet Earth. Your rseponse is kind of childish but whatever. In this game, at Yankee Stadium it doesn't get fully dark until the 7th inning. Now even in late June when light here is the lightest, the 7th inning is usually around 945pm and by that time its completely dark afor about 30 minutes already unless you are talking about the exact longest day of the year type of deal.
Franchise is great since it adjusts based on time of the year you are playing the game, but it just seems a bit strange that every exhibition game is basically all day until the last couple of innings.

I guess maybe i just find it srtange that they chose the summer solstice to be the default exhibibition night game, lol

Personally I do not see what is so strange about them choosing the peak of summer which is what baseball is about, "boys of summer", for exhibition to show of the maximum effort off the games progression and shadow trajectory.

It works as intended, and well in franchise with the dynamics.

What would be really cool is if they could tie weather/wind time of day etc into a weather server like Microsoft Flight Simulator does.

Not sure how possible it is with a PS compared to a PC though. That way we could play the true conditions that were actually happening.

If you base this off of the MLB average game time of just under 3 hours, the 7th inning would begin right around 2 hours into the game...which in most instances would be 9pm local time. Also it's important to take into account that the game tends to be a lot faster in the early innings so the average start time for the 7th inning may be a bit earlier.

Take a look at the photo below, taken on July 11, 2008. The game is in the bottom of the 6th inning. I know it's only one example but it certainly gives a frame of reference.
                              <img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3007/2660575742_c79ae92cce_m.jpg"/>

The most important factor though is that this photo is from a 1-1 game. It would probably be significantly darker if the score was 7-5. Anyone who has played enough games can attest to the fact that this fact also proves true in The Show. Swing at every first pitch and it will be light in the 7th inning. My advice would be to check out the in-game scoreboard clocks and compare that to the lighting rather than basing it off the inning being played.
