Thought it was kinda lame that his in game portrait is without his trademark beard. Can that be fixed by us? Or does SCEA have to patch it in? Is it on their radar list at all?

how is it their fault he decided to have a clean shave when they collected portraits? and that other copycat reliever from the Giants "Romo" i think. do they need to update every time someone grows ridiculous facial hair? i think that would be lame.

they should work on more important things.

he's a little different than most relievers - that beard is his calling card and is prominently known - and if it can be done with one replacement photo file...

Maybe throughout the season, if your on a playoff run, it will automatically swap pictures, so he has a beard?

That would be pretty funny to me. All of a sudden in-game and on the player card you see a playoff beard growing.

I agree that they could have at least, barring any legal limitations, got Wilson's pic with a beard for this year.

With that being said, personally, I'd like them to have an option to remove the pics or at least not force us to have to open it EVERY time we want to open up their stats or attributes.

You guys need to be aware that player portaits are taken during Spring Training the previous year, which means that his photo was taken in February 2010(Pre-Beard). February 2011 was well after The Show's final build. This has a very slim chance of getting updated.

Well in their defense, some guys have pictures that are well over a year old, but yeah. While I would love the ability to put facial hair or hair length on the player model, an entire thread for a mediocre closer just so he can have a hideous looking beard added to his card might be a bit excessive.

Most likely it is, and the artists at Sony or MLB impose the new team uniform on his old portrait. This happens all the time on Sportscenter immediately after a trade... they show a portrait of the traded player with the new team colors/hat.

Raskal is correct. We're only able to use the mugshots given to us every Spring Training. Brian Wilson didn't start growing the beard until the middle of last season. Assuming Wilson took a photo during ST, we'll have a photo with beard in MLB 12. Thanks.

At least his in game model looks like him. Bautista is the opposite of that. He has his beard in his pic, but in the game his player model doesn't.
