25 New Plays Coming to Madden NFL 12 - Play #9: Giants Go DBL Post

Over the next few weeks, EA Sports will show 25 new plays that you will find in Madden NFL 12.

To be clear, there are more than 25 new plays in the game. Each day, a new play will be accompanied by a screen of the play art and a brief description of why the play has been added to Madden NFL 12.

Play #9 features the Giants Go DBL Post.

"Giants - Gun Wing Trips NY - Giants Go DBL Post - Giants WR Hakeem Nicks had a breakout season and became QB Eli Manning’s “Go To” guy in the red zone. On this play, the Giants have TE Kevin Boss run a mid dig route while slot receiver Steve Smith runs a shorter corner route. These combinations open up the defense for Nicks to run a Post route in behind for a big gain. This play was used in a week 2 game at Indianapolis."

New formation for the Giants with Steve Smith in the slot. The Madden team is doing a nice job of getting realistic alignments that NFL teams use.

Man this is a good play to put into the create a playbook and all. It's going to allow you to get good yards down the field and underneath aswell. This play is going be used alot online I can tell you that much. I love it.

I normally play with safety, cover three with the Free Safety going into coverage could work on this play.

This play will kill user controlled safeties

God I hope you're right. This one guy in my online franchise averages 20+ INT's per year with his user safety, and no that is not an over-exaggeration, by far the best user safety I have ever played against, and people are still dumb enough to throw anywhere near his user safety, I threw 4 picks to him one game alone. So this play better work.
