      lol, from the comments:

So you mean leaving your alma mater where you won big and were basically a god to go for the big money where you are a complete outsider was a mistake?

Yeah that one made me laugh as well. I think he will be back coaching somewhere in D1 in 2012.

I have no doubt he will coach D1 again, coaches are recycled at a very high rate.

Someone will take a chance on him again. Although he will have to start over at a small school.

He will probably end up at Clemson once Dabo gets fired.

I don't want him at all, but I'd laugh if he takes over UMass once they jump to the MAC.

Seriously. Someone will give him a shot. He's a solid coach. His problem was he wasn't a "Michigan Man"

No his problem was ****ty recruiting and pure stupidity. He made us small, soft, and slower than we already were. His love affair with players who didn't even have MAC level talent didn't help either.

Re: Rich Rod regrets Mich. Job

Yea he definitely made a mistake by leaving WV. He built them up to a powerhouse. Knocked off Georgia and Oklahoma in BCS bowls. He had something good going on there. I knew it as soon as he decided to leave that he made a mistake. But he definitely will be coaching again next year. Probably at a Big East or ACC school. He probably would have had a coaching job righ now if Michigan had of let him go earliar then they did.

I dont agree with any of that, the Talent level at Michigan is still very high compared to the rest of the Big 10, his biggest problem was his personnel choices and his personal football philosophy. What works at one college may not work at another, coaches need to realize this.

Richrod fired Scott Schafer because he forced a 3-3-5 Defense on a 4-3 Defensive coordinator and it didnt work. He threw Schafer under the bus and then went with Greg Robinson, the same coach who he literally destroyed in previous seasons.I would wager that if he let Schafer run the Defense, Richrod would still be in Michigan and doing pretty good.

The defense sucked long before RR got there, people fail to realize that. The defense went down hill in the 06 hOSU game. They would then get slaughtered by USC. following season would give up boat loads of points to App St, Oregon, and even Florida in their bowl win.

RR didn't recruit defense and like you said had a ****ty philosophy. Also, I don't see how you can watch them and say they had as much defensive talent as the rest of the big11/12ten.

I do it could be a while, might even take alot of time. But what he did at West Virginia will always be pretty good looking resume, even though he had nothing done with Michigan, there was nothing possible to do, considering he had to merge a 3-3-5 stack defense that isnt that successful against pro style offenses in most cases but also merging a spread offense when Michigan was a power type run team. He will be a coach again probably but he certaintly won't make the same mistake twice going to those high prestige places like Michigan, i wont be suprised if he lands another big east job or maybe the mountain west.
