Try a different mode, RTTS,MOM, Franchise, ...
Customize the music for all the teams.

Yeah.. if you don't like baseball that much then don't bother playing the game. I'm a seasonal person, when baseball season is out i play their games, when hockey's out.. i play hockey.

But sadly I won't be playing either as much as I would like to in few months from now though with the first baby on the way, especially with my game room turning into the baby room, so I really have no where to put my tv/games, other than hooking it to the main 50" tv which I kinda want to avoid. Ah well.. that's what I get for living in a tiny wee little house dammit lol.

You would be surprised how adding everyone's walk-up music can really make a difference. I always do that in my sports games, just like how I replicated the music they play at Joe Louis Arena on NHL 10/11. It just makes it more fun.

it gets boring sometimes...just like real baseball does.

But for a videogame, it just means you need to change something, like the difficulty

I dont know about "bored" but I get really exhausted if I play more than a couple games at a time. The hitting in this game is really demanding, more than any other game, and I often find that I'll start my 3rd game for the day, and it will be my turn at bat and I wont even feel like watching the pitcher, and thats how I know its time to call it a day.

I usually don't get bored with the game until real life baseball season ends. One of the best things for me is to not play EVERY day, and only play 1-2 games each time. Sometimes it's good to have multiple teams in franchise and/or season mode and just go back and forth using different players.
