User profiles?

I may be in the minority here but does anyone else miss user profiles that used to be in the older PS2 versions of Madden and NCAA, they used to breakdown your stats vs different users online or not. I know that now it does track those things online but it used to be that the user profile would track your record against anyone online or not and it was a pretty deep statistical system too. I'm just wondering if anyone else misses this? why would developers remove something like that, you would think that with the processing of these newer systems they would be able to add to that not take it away completely.

I echo your sentiments wholeheartedly! Why any sports game would not have a way to track how well or how poorly you the user are playing said game is beyond me.

Oh and user vs. user stats as well.

Same here also allow to profiles to be loaded. Player 2 never gets to upload their profile only player 1

I made this thread back in February but it basically went unnoticed. Upon further research, it seems there are a lot more people who want to see this implemented, too.

Also, please bring back pre-game chat... It's great to talk smack before kickoff. Or be respectful, whatever you're in the mood for. They just need to focus on the USER a bit more, and make it much more Facebookier, if ya' follow

I miss the stats too...I don't understand why we have to save our profile on our systems when we have nothing to look at... :|

I've been searching for an old video/picture of Madden/NCAA on PS2 to show exactly what we're talking about with the user profiles/stat tracker, but I just can't find anything. I would take a pic of it myself on Madden 09 (PS2), but I gave my nephews my old system along with all of my games.

This is a HUGE part of the game, and some people don't even realize how huge it is. The fact that we can scout our opponent pre-game is crucial. You don't have to bring back the chat lobby if it interferes with menu smoothness, but we definitely need the ability to scout our opponent pre-game to find out if he's a cheeser or not. PLEASE, EA!!! It should've never been taken out in the first place!

If you can, can someone please record a video of the old lobby system, and click on someone's name to show all of their statistics? Before sending them the game invite? Then once you send the game invite, capture the pre-game chatroom before kickoff. This really was a monumental feature. We need it in next gen!

I remember using it all the time on my PS2 for NCAA 07/08. Sometimes just to check peoples stats for the fun of it. Its cool just to see who likes to run, pass, use shotgun, blitz, etc.

Now what scouting consists of is basically the DNF, and the stupid Season Showdown card. Zero idea of what you're walking into.

Yeah, that was the shizz. You could see their blitz %, 4th down attempt %, hail mary %, and the results of their last 10 games and who they've played. There was other stuff too, but that was the stuff I ALWAYS looked at before getting into a match online. Really wish they'd bring that back.

We should also have this for online dynasty mode as well... not just ranked. It'd be huge if we were able to scout our OD opponents from week to week in order to learn their tendencies.
