But seriously, I am going to try and create the entire 1995 Season Rosters. This is going to be a LONG work-in-progress, so I ask of your patience. If you've played with my historic NBA rosters, you know I give due diligence to detail... This will be a lot of work, and I am probably not the brightest bulb for taking this on, but I'm a roster nut so I'll give it a shot.
Why 1995? I was 23 and a DIE-HARD Cleveland Indians fan. I had the privilege of attending a number of games that season, having grown up in northeast Ohio. Albert Belle (yeah, that guy) is my all-time favorite player. He had his faults, but I loved him. That is the season he did the 50/50 thing (homers and doubles). The Indians played the Braves in the World Series, and baseball was at a peak in talent.
Like I said, give me time. I'm shooting for around late June - that gives me a couple months. There's a lot of research involved, but I also want to make sure that all MLB teams have around 30 players for you to use.
My process will be to get players named correctly, with all correct information (correct batting sides and throwing arms) - making certain that player models (ie. skin colors) match up as best as possible.
I'll then try to determine a way to rate them, but I'll burn that bridge when I get there. I will have correct lineups and pitching staffs as the final aspect of getting them together.
I'll do my best to keep you updated on my progress. I will have this file on 2K Share and also provide here in a .ROS format for non-live users. Obviously this will be for the 360.
If you guys can provide me any solid sites for research purposes (information, pictures, videos, etc.) please DO SO!!! I am using www.baseball-reference.com as my main source.
I am excited about this project and believe when completed it should provide a great deal of fun!
Thanks, mike
