Rookie salary scale?
 

Didnt see it in the blog, just talked about how the first pick will ask for the most money, but will there be a rookie salary scale for madden?

Until a CBA is place, not sure how much sense it makes to put a rookie cap in place. It looks likely that we'll have one IRL...but until then?

No reason to expect it to act any different than previous years.

this is the only thing that will keep me from buying this year. please anybody in the know tell us if this can be implemented into the game via patch.

No there will be no rookie pay scale this year unless all of a sudden the Owners and Players to agreement within the next few weeks. There will be none in Madden 12. Most likly it will be in next year if it is part of the CBA. But for now no it will not be in.

I'm guessing no as well...But I think their contracts will be a little lower except for QB's

According to the blog:

"Last year, rookies would sign contracts based on their positions and ratings…so if you took a 70 overall HB #1 in the draft, he would ask for a 3 year/15 million dollar deal as the 1st pick (which is extremely unrealistic).

Rookies now sign contracts based solely on their position and their draft pick. If you take a QB with the first overall pick, expect to pay him a lot."

it usually goes up yearly based on who is taking 1st overall


so if its a LT or QB 1st overall the 2nd pick and on will be payed off that as it gradually moves down

this is why i make sure to never take a player 1st overall , always go to 2-5 if you have to be in the Mix for a top Talent never #1

I just hope EA Tiburon be able to patch it in the game if a new CBA with a rookie salary cap is agree upon.
