I must be a complete idiot because I for the life of me can not find anything on the whole world wide web that tells me what the spotlight indicator is. Every single thing that has "spotlight indicator" in its content is pertaining to the patch but not one single person can tell me what the hell it is!!!!!! I'm sorry but this is my first mlb 2k game.

Are you talking about the fielding indicator? If so, poorly rated fielders have a larger spotlight so you don't know where the ball will land in the outfield until it gets closer to the ground.
