What if... In 1999, A new team, the New Orleans Dragons was formed. This would have rewritten all of the NBA history books.

What team did you replace? Hornets? Or are they still in the league. If so, it might be a little strange to have the Hornets around and your new team. Other than that, I would say good start. Newer teams are always interesting to read about.

At this point the hornets were from Charlotte and the bobcats didnt exist so im replacing the bobcats technically.

The Dragons Shock The World!
"We just couldn't defend to well" said a shocked Michael Finley of the Dallas Mavericks. Clyde Drexler said "Everyone was hitting their shots". The Dragons beat the Mavs 119 to 87. Stephen Jackson led the team with 22 points. Clyde Drexler had 7 rebounds and Spud Webb led the team with 9 assists.

In other news around the league, Michael Jordan came out of retirement to sign with the Portland Trailblazers, which reunites him with Scottie Pippen.

Rumors around the league say that Ben Wallace of the Magic could be traded. More news will be reported as it comes in.

Dragons and Lakers agree to trade.
The Dragons send Stacey King, Andres Nocioni and Mike James
The Lakers send Devean George, Tyronn Lue and Robert Horry
Stacey King said "Well, Now I have a chance to win a ring."
Tyronn Lue said "I should be able to learn alot from Spud, and hopefully I can make the team more succesfull.

Members of ESPN are split but most agree that New Orleans recieved the best player in the trade (Horry). They however seem to think that Nocioni has the most potential to be a good player in the NBA because he is only 19 years old.

Does New Orleans now have a NBA Contender?
The Dragons beat the Pacers 85 to 70. Robert Horry Scored 16 Points, 10 Boards, and 7 Assists. Point Gaurd Mark Jackson of the Pacers shot an awful 1 for 13 from the field. Pacers Captain Reggie Miller said "None of us were able to take over. Not even (Jalen) Rose was able to help out. Devean George really owned us tonight shooting 7 for 9.

The Dragons are 2-0 and The Pacers are 0-2

Rumor has it that if the Pistons are not contending this season, Grant Hill will test the waters in free agency.

Michael Jordan scored 17 Points in his debut win over the Clippers.

Mike Bibby will be out for 6 to 8 weeks after braking his Jaw.

Bucks Defeat Dragons With Ease.
For the Bucks, Ray Allen had 39 points, Sam Cassel had 16 points and assists and Robert Traylor had a career high 19 rebounds. The only bright spot for the Dragons was Horry with 26 points and 8 rebounds.

The East Player of the Week was Vince Carter of Toronto and in the West, the Player of the Week was Shaq of the Lakers.

Dragons Win In a Blowout 111-85 over the Undefeated Nets.
It was a close game untill Tyronn Lue happened. On Defense he had 9 steals. He also had 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists. Prior to the game, SF/PF Sam Mack was signed to a one year deal. He played 14 minutes and had 4 points and 3 rebounds. The Dragons had 18 total blocks.

Rumor has it that PG B.J Armstrong of the Bulls could be traded to the Trailblazers. The Nets GM claims that the Bulls want too much for him.

Juwan Howard is out for 2 months with a broken left foot.

Shawn Bradley of the Mavericks says he wants to be traded to the Dragons. The Mavs are refusing his requests.
