100% in agreement....I think. Two items are holding me back.

        1) I so want to put Florida atop the SEC East, but I think they will lose to LSU, Alabama and possibly South Carolina this year. UGA is going to be a toss-up this year again (hate to say that). South Carolina's schedule really plays well for them this year since they don't face Bama or LSU from the west and their real road tests are UGA and Arkansas.

        2) Auburn at #5 just looks crazy and Miss State losing Diaz might have an effect on their success. I wish Mullen well, but seeing Auburn at #5 in the west makes me pump the brakes a tad. The SEC West is just stacked up top.

I can't wait for this season to start.

I expect for Florida to be the 4th best team in the East behind USC, UGA, and UT. I don't expect anything pretty in Gainesville this fall...

Mississippi State at #2 in the West is pretty laughable. I doubt they will even crack #3. Exactly what is everyone basing this on? It's Mississippi State. AND they lost their D Coordinator. Mullen hasn't really done anything as of this point. Another 8 wins sure, i can buy that, but finishing #2 in the SEC West? No chance. None. They would have to finish ahead of either LSU or Bama and there's just no way that's happening. Both of those teams have a lot more talent and better coaches.

There is no way in hell that UT finishes ahead of UF. Not happening.

My expectations are fairly low too, but UT is losing at least 4, probably 5 or even 6 SEC games (@ UF, UGA, LSU, @ Bama, SC and @ Arkansas) and UF will not finish behind Tennessee.

From a talent perspective, I definitely agree. But there are a couple of HUGE unknowns in the Gator camp.

#1- You're TOTALLY overhauling the offense. Players who were recruited to run an Urban Meyer offense are now going to be asked to run pro-style. This might not be that big of a deal, but it could also blow up in your face (at least in year 1).

#2- Coaching staff. We have no idea what we have in Will Muschamp. He could be the next Nick Saban or a more eloquent Ed Ogeron. We simply don't know.

Just based on those two factors, you can't say that there is no chance at all Florida could finish behind UT.

Ding ding ding....for me, until he proves otherwise Will Muschamp is the 2nd coming of Ron Zook. Even if he's better than the Zooker, I expect our offense to be putrid. No, last year was putrid...I expect it to be worse than putrid. Even if you have the talent, completely overhauling your offensive scheme is a tough transition. The Gators don't have any talent on offense for the pro-set...no proven receivers, two backs who haven't shown they can run between the tackles, an offensive line that is a mess, and a QB who couldn't execute basic reads. No, it will be ugly. My only hope for finishing above .500 is that the defensive studs we have recruited in the last few years of Urban actually start to live up to their promise and we can win some games ugly.

Any Gator fan that expects anything otherwise is fooling themselves imo...

And by the way, I checked and Vegas has Florida favored in SIX games on their schedule (when is the last time that happened?). I know they play the games on the field, but when Vegas thinks your a .500 team things aren't going to be pretty.

Oh I know it probably won't be pretty, but UT cannot be favored in more than six games either. I just don't see UT doing much again this year.

They could go 8-4 and it wouldn't be the biggest shock in history or anything. UT was absurdly young last year.

UT improved so much last year and they finally found a QB at the end of the year. You forget that if not for ref shenanigans they would have beaten UNC and LSU.
