Kick/Punt returns

I think this is an area of the game which needs to be redone completely. The blocking on both kick and punt returns is just awful. Your guy gets the ball and there are 7 guys waiting for him. I have haven't returned a punt for a touchdown in Madden in years. The return game is becoming an exciting part of the NFL and in Madden, it clearly isn't. Does anyone else feel this way?

Yes and no......for starters sliders can help with this...your run block slider and tackle and run reaction slider I believe all help on KO and punts. I had an issue with last gen where it was way too easy to return kicks. Even with M11 the better players tell me they return kicks all the time. I return a decent number in my chise...playing as all 32 teams and playing every game on the schedule I MIGHT get 1 return a week on KO...punt is much rarer...I've come close many times but the last guy keeps catching me. But I've returned a punt for a TD in the past.
The man issues I have with special teams ARE similar to you though:
1. CPU never returns a punt for a TD.....and rarely KO's now...on old gen he did it too often.
2. CPu never blocks a punt (nor have I on new gen...on old gen it happened too often).
3. No one ever blocks a FG.
4. Punters and placeholders never mishandle the ball....and I don't see really bad snaps...some are high or low yes, but while it should be very rare I'd expect to have seen a bounced snap or one sail over the guy after all the games I play....again should be very rare but I've NEVER seen it in Madden.

The only guys I can return Punts/KO for TDs are Desean Jackson,Hester,Harvin and ocasionally Eddie Royal. Then with a guy like Cribbs I can barely get 30 yards on a good KO return.

Yankee I agree with you about the CPU never blocking a FG/Punt nor have I blocked one(I've had my friend block an XP on me though once).

So let's hope they can fix the blocking on SP teams this year.
