    MLB 11 The Show PS2

I'll keep this simple, since I'm obviously pretty out of place.

Behind a couple years on some things due to being away. My PS3 is packed up elsewhere. Just purchased MLB 11 for the PS2 I have around, since I'll be laid up from surgery soon.

Any help on how to go about updating rosters (either through PSN - if available for PS2 - or through a download off the net)?

Not finding any "online" or "roster update" options in the PS2 MLB 11 menu. Been sifting through google searchs for two hours. Any help is greatly appreciated.

If I remember correctly from the MVP Baseball era, there's only 2 ways to do it:

1)Use one of those save port thingies. The only one I can think of is a MaxDrive, but there are other brands and other versions of the product, though they all accomplish the same thing: Transfer data from a PC to a video game console via USB flash sticks. Action Replay has a feature for this too, but you will have to do all this research yourself (or wait for another response), as I never bought any of those shenanigans, and just did rosters myself.
Aside from Google, a good idea is to go on GameFAQs and pick a random popular PS2 or Xbox game (not sure if Gamecube had it), and go to the tab for saved data, and just look at all the options available, is it's essentially a list of the names of all the various devices available for your needs - since I don't know what they are called, I couldn't tell you what to Google to find it, but this should be enough for you.

2)Directly get in touch with someone who has the rosters you are looking for, and ask them to mail you a memory card containing the appropriate data (or they will have you send them a blank memory card... whatever you two agree on).

Thanks for the info. GameFAQs provided some important answers. It also led me to someone trying to sell the updated rosters through a mail order "service" for $40, including new memory card. Geez.

      Thanks again.

Did you find any? The Show is really good on the PS2; I got my start there in 09 before my PS3 upgrade last year.
