MattUM2 Roster Project Series #2: Re-Rating PS3 Rosters

Now that it has been confirmed I will taking on the task of re-editing named roster one they are released to give the game a better feel with players attributes. No longer will players be given high ratings just to make the overall good.

After studying player attributes and how the are used on the field over the last 2 years and not actually playing the game, as well as a history lesson from PLAYMAKERS. I have come to a solid rating system that allows the flow of the game to be great. With these rosters and my HS CAP rosters to come out, I believe it will give everyone the chance to have the old PS2 days back when dynasty was a fun experience.

So far I have already implemented player ratings in for the PAC 12 and Big 10. I am working on the SEC as we speak.

I am typing all the information in excel format. So if anyone is interested in joining the efforts to get these out by opening day I will gladly forward you the files. I work 10AM-6PM so that would be prime hours I would need help at.

I see others on the board are also working on ways to do this and if we can all work together for a solid base system for the community then it could be a special year for NCAA 12

Most reports have Weeden with a cannon for an arm.

Matt, how detailed are you planning to get with depth chart and equipment changes? The rating adjustments are very intriguing, but I'm just wondering if you're keeping up with some of the other stuff too.

I plan on doing everything from Ratings to Equipment to Hometown.

This project won't be finished until mid-august with the hard deadline for Opening Kick Off once Depth Charts are complete.

If I can get help inputting the data I have put together then it will move along faster.

Also with Weeden that is suppose to be 94. When I was copy and paste from the excel file I guess I overlooked it. All the number together have trouble on the eyes lol.

Weeden should be at a 95-96 for Throwing Power. He does have a cannon and although Luck from Stanford is the better overall QB, Weeden's arm is stronger. So if Luck is a 94 for THP, Weeden should be 95-96.

I really like what you are doing here. With you working on these for the PS3, and I am working on mine for the 360, it should really give people a great option as an alternative to the arcade style game the game plays as with the original rosters. Keep up the good work man!

Alright, Ill shoot you a PM when ready. At first I thinking I will need help from people putting equipment edits while I finish the excel files for teams.

Once I build a big enough difference with excel teams finished with teams needed to be put in I will start asking for people to help inputting information in the game.
