yea, when starting an OD, it has to validate the rosters, so it renames a lot of people to XXXXXX, etc... because of the language filter. -

This filter crap needs to go ASAP. We are not allowed to use the name "Powell"? Seriously!? Somethings just don't make any sense to me at all."Hard work beats talent, when talent isn't working hard.”Comment

It's also creating issues just trying to get the roster uploaded so you can start the freakin dynasty in the first place...

Re: This EA profanity filter us wreaking major havoc on rosters.
I went into the roster file to lower the prestige of the TCU defensive coordinator and had to change his name. I'm curious how the roster makers got his real name to save.
I'm also curious how many people actually try to add profane/vulgar names to this game. It seems like EA and Microsoft are going out of their way to stop a problem that doesn't even exist.Comment

you can edit them offline(not connected to the internet) and get them to save. but when creating the online dynasty, you obviously can't do that offline. so since it validates the rosters when starting the online dynasty, ODs will have this issue happen.I went into the roster file to lower the prestige of the TCU defensive coordinator and had to change his name. Re: This EA profanity filter us wreaking major havoc on rosters.
Yep. Which is just plain dumb because it is our online dynasty with big boys. There are no little Timmys and Johnnys playing so let us play. Plus, we aren't using names like Poopbag Pukeface. Let's be real here EA."Hard work beats talent, when talent isn't working hard.”Comment

Tell me about it. I'm playing with USF in an Oline Dynasty and they filtered out (B.J.) Daniels. So, I had to rename him BJay. There is also a guy on the team name Isaac Virgin and of course that ain't gonna fly lol! So, I had to rename him Verginn! Eddie Whitley's last name is always X'd out as well. (Va Tech starting FS).
There are so many names that I can't even put a finger on why they're censored. Makes no sense.North Carolina Tar Heels
Virginia Tech Hokies
Michigan Wolverines
Chicago Bulls
Detroit Tigers
Detroit Red Wings

Yea, the filter just kills a lot of the potential realism. I really think it is more in place to cover their ***. You know the next thing that will happen is some player will sue EA because they allow us to edit the names and create accurate rosters. I would not be surprised one bit.Comment
