Fastest you have been called up to the Majors
So I am curious about everyone's times when getting brought up to the majors to see the soonest you can actually be called up, this question came to me when I was playing today on a RTTS that I just started this week and I got called up to the majors in 4 months and 2 days and that included a broken leg so I was out for 2 months. Granted it will be different for different positions and teams. Anyway wanted to get a general idea of how fast it is actually possible without buying training points of course.Tags: None -
Re: Fastest you have been called up to the Majors
Still in AA the 2nd year as a CP. Started the first year as a RP 'cause there were already 3 CP in the organization and I had a great first year, and a CP got injuried in AAA but the other CP in AA got promoted over me. Started 2nd year blowing a couple saves, in a bit of slump but started to come around. Seem to struggle right now though. Haven't played RTTS in a while since I've been busy lately and with the little one on the way.Last edited by JaFFiTh; 07-16-2011, 09:55 PM.Comment

Re: Fastest you have been called up to the Majors
in MLB 10 i got the call in 2 days once as a 2B for the Rays. I LOLed pretty hard because that meant Reid Brignac, Ben Zobrist, and Sean Rodriguez all either got demoted or injured. (I didn't check at the time and that save is long gone with my old 60GB YLOD PS3)Comment

Re: Fastest you have been called up to the Majors
Back when I first started playing the series, in '08, I started a RTTS with the Yankees as RF and I played 5 games in AA, got called to AAA for two games, and then to MLB and I was there to stay.
Must of been all injuries because I wasn't batting very well.
It took me 20 min real life time to get called up to the majors. If only that could happen in real life.

Re: Fastest you have been called up to the Majors
Last year, I got called up to AAA on Day 1 as well. Ended up being a September call-up and played a few games for the big league team. I ended up being traded to Philadelphia the next season, and made the big leagues there.Rangers - Cowboys - Aggies - Stars - Mavericks

Re: Fastest you have been called up to the Majors
I was called up to Triple A on the first week because of injury (Idk why me I was surprised) then called up to majors before May in time for Oakland vs Rays where I had 2 homerunsSo I am curious about everyone's times when getting brought up to the majors to see the soonest you can actually be called up, this question came to me when I was playing today on a RTTS that I just started this week and I got called up to the majors in 4 months and 2 days and that included a broken leg so I was out for 2 months. I guess it was the weather.Comment

Re: Fastest you have been called up to the Majors
Only time I've been called to the majors so far in '11 is September of year #3. For whatever reason the reds wouldn't call me up from AAA as a SP. I was dominating the minors for so long I didn't even care if they called me up. Points kept stacking upComment

Re: Fastest you have been called up to the Majors
My SP with the Twins organization finally got the call in his 3rd year. He dominated AA and got a promotion half way through season 1. Then started season 2 in AAA as the staff ace. I was getting so many points per game that I had a surplus of about 800 that I never used and left in the bank just in case, met 100% of my goals every cycle and they still waited till the end of season 2 to give me the call.
Right now, I just started season 2 with my SS in the Padres AAA farm system, he is the starting SS for the team. Batting .449, 21HR's, 72RBI's, 2BB's, and 23SO's.
The MLB starting SS for the Padres is batting .240, 0HR's, 0RBI's in June. Not sure how that is possible in June you would think he might have an RBI or two.
Anyway, they keep telling me that I am obviously ready for the big time but that there is no room on the 40 man roster, that I need to keep at it and someday I will make it.
So it has become obvious to me that my RTTS guys, regardless of performance are doomed to server at least two years in the farm system until they get the Spring Training Invite. The same exact thing happened to my SP, same "No Room on 40 Man" emails every cycle that my SS is getting.
So, that is what you are looking at unless the rare injury happens and you are the last player on earth that can replace the injured guy.Comment
