Why does CPU always Pick to receive the ball in the 2nd half?
Not once has the CPU picked to receive on the first half off the coin toss. What's up with that?Tags: None -

Ideally, there should be some variation. Teams and coaches vary on which the chose. Not everyone defers everytime in real NCAA football.Comment

I would say 95% of collegiate teams do. So it makes sense why the CPU does. I was a guy that would always receive but now that the D is actually fun to play, I do kick the ball if I win the toss.Owner and Founder of nGame: The Social Network, For Sports

I haven't played an overtime game yet, does the CPU at least chose defense when they win that coin toss? That to me is much more important."Attempted murder? Now, honestly, what is that? Do they give a Nobel Prize for attempted chemistry?"

Finally they fixed it. Last yr they never did. 95% of the time teams defer to the 2nd half. The cases where they don't usually are when they have a juggernaut of an offense and want to jump out early.SCHUMJ's 1995 roster : http://www.operationsports.com/forum...box-360-a.htmlComment

Do NCAA teams choose to kick 95% of times IRL?Comment

Re: Why does CPU always Pick to receive the ball in the 2nd half?
yes most teams prefer to defer to the 2nd half. That way they have the chance to possibly score right before halftime and get the ball back after halftime. Most teams don't choose to receive. So EA has made it real finally but its different than in the past so people think its a mistake or bug.Comment

I'm one of those who thought it was a mistake, I've been accustomed to the old NFL coin toss rule, which forced you to have the ball when you won the toss.yes most teams prefer to defer to the 2nd half.
