    Night Games

this really frustrates me in the show how you play a "night game" and for my games it hasnt gotten pitch black until the 8th or 9th inning. this is so stupid because the game looks the best during night just like real games and i want it to be DARK!

It's called dynamic "realistic" lighting. Games start at 7:00 or 7:30pm local times, it's still light out at that time. They were going for realism. Watch a live game on TV and compare, it doesn't get pitch black until 7th inning or so.

Watch a live game on tv? I go to Rockies games all the time and I'm 100% sure it gets pitch black before the 9th (the time it's getting dark in the game). I'm not saying the dynamic lighting isn't cool, I'm saying it doesn't work fast enough because it stays light for a very long time. It's not getting dark around the 6th or 7th in the game like it should.

Some of the stadiums have clock's on the scoreboard (KC and a few others), start watching them. Where I live it doesn't get pitch black until 9:30... that's the end of most games. So I still don't see what you're complaining about. Yeah, I prefer dark games too, but realistically that doesn't happen off the first pitch.

Most games you play will go by so much quicker then games in real life. Most of my games end at 9 ish and that would be close to the 6th or 7th in real life

You know what that is called? Reality.

It shouldnt be dark at a baseball game pre 7th inning until Sept/Oct

On a slightly different note, I dislike day games in some stadiums because the ball is totally sun-faded into the field and you can't see it, but that's the reality of having dynamic lighting. People wanted dynamic lighting and more realism to the game, now they complain about it? lol

It used to be two settings Day/Night... I find the current settings MUCH more realistic.

Well I go to Braves games a lot and in Atlanta if your watching it looks like it gets dark by the 6th inning on tv but in real life the sky is still a little light but the lights make it look like its dark but on the game I mainly play in minute maid cause my rtts is there and there is only a little part of sky you can see over the LF wall so i dont really notice it

Exactly, on TV and on highlights it always looks dark because all you see are the huge stadium lights and not the actual skyline. If they panned up it would still be dusk most times.

Anyways, I think the game got this 100% dead on like it was intended.

Why are you guys measuring when it's dark by innings ? LOL.. some games will be dark by the 4th inning if it's a long drawn out game. plus, the month the game is played matters. i mean.. what does the inning have to do with it really ?

If the game starts at around 7 est. it wont get dark until 9-930 (depending on the location) which would be around 7th or 8th inning

Thats a good point cuase I was playing a slugfest at Yankee Stadium and it was completly dark by the 4 th Inning. The way I found out is when David Ortiz who i signed to the Mariners in my franchise hit a 2 run blast to right off Phil Hughes
