A hot mess
Hey all. I was hoping that someone could point me in the right direction as far as learning how to play NCAA 12. Apparently I've reverted back to a three year old when it comes to playing football games this year. I've been playing football games yearly since 99 but this year I'm frustrated beyond belief. Playing online I can't play offense, I can't stop anyone on Defense. For all intensive purposes I'm the worst gamer ever. Looking for some sort of place to learn strategies for both offense and defense. Suggestions?Tags: None -

Re: A hot mess
Swallow some pride and play on Varsity, if you're not already.
Otherwise, just hit up practice mode. You'd be surprised just how much better you can get running a certain play after you've drilled it 40 or 50 times against random defense.Comment

Dang... I have Cobra Starship stuck in my head now.
I'd practice passes a lot. CPU Pass D was vastly improved.Football: Denver Broncos
Baseball: Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs
Hockey: Allentown Phantoms
NCAA: The College of William and Mary Tribe

Re: A hot mess
Just pick easy plays like your favorite quick slants, or any simple runs, such as the power O, and run them 30 or so times on practice mode against a random 4-3 defense.
Avoid options, wildcat, or anything cute like that.Comment

Re: A hot mess
How do you do random defense? Do you just pick the two plays and then after a few reps go back to the play call screen?Boston Red Sox

This. If we can random select a defense this year I haven't figured it out yet. I'm practicing a spread attack which works very well offline but online all of the different blitzes I see confuse the h*ll out of me.Comment
