    Contact Stick?

I'm pretty sure we all know (or should know) that the main thing holding next gen basketball games back from their full potential is the poor implementation of physical contact.

I propose the right stick as more than just a shot/defense stick but an actual contact initiation stick. This would overlap the shot stick well because you could use it and then shoot. A fade away would still be a fade away. A leaner or up and under could actually have some body contact and we could finally see an offensive player bump someone out of the way when they go in for a drive.

On defense and rebounding it would work the same way. Too much and you'd foul, obviously. You could push people in the back while rebounding, push your body into someone when they drive... bump a cutter.

This is not an advanced concept and yet it would work so well.

Also could be used to flop... press away on your contact stick when someone presses toward you on theirs... etc.

Sounds "boring" but it would make the game as sim as possible.

Cool concept but more or less impossible to implement. You have no sense of real weight in the controller so how would you know how much you pushed? In the heat of the moment, when you're trying to grab a rebound and you push off too much, you'd get called for fouls all over the place. Plus, I don't think you would have time to react.

Playing against other human players and you'd have a bunch of complaining if a foul wasn't called when your friend pushed off too much.

Fun idea, but I don't think it would work, plus I think it would be a totally unecessary function.

The contact stick would be a great idea but i just don't know how it would work , but if 2k could find a good way for it to work while still keeping the shot stick the it would be great
