Schnaidt1's AA slider set (very realistic)

I know there are a bunch of slider sets out here already, and I know most of you already have ur favorite peoples from last year or the year before that u are going to trust and use. but for the sake of finding the best realistic yet fun game. i suggest you try mine. they may be too easy for you, others may be too hard. but i think for most...if you DONT cheese....this will be just perfect. I will post the sliders first then stats and my thoughts from a few games played with them.

I am using Illinois in my Dynasty. first game i played was against Arkansas state. I won the game 34-12. arkansas had two missed 2pt conversions. and i scored a fumble td with 1 min left in the game. so its wasnt quite the blow out it seems.

here is the team stats breakdown.

    ark st Illini
    fist downs 15 17
    total offense 224 299
    rushes 10-34-0 25-135-2
    passing 20-34-2 15-27-1
    passing yards 233 179
    3rd down 2-12 3-11
    4th down 2-2 1-1
    turnovers 1 2
    penalties 2-25 5-60
    sacks 10 4
    t.o.p. 16:47 19:00

first things first...the high sack total. i want to make it known that i counted 5 of those sacks that came when they called a hb screen and i almost always blitz on 3rd down and thats where they all came from. sack totals are not nearly that high. I also was playing pretty much the entire game with my back up qb due to my starter being knocked out with a concussion.

i also understand some of you might be discouraged at the rushing attempts and yards for the cpu. i stopped them early and they went to the passing game. it did work for them. they had success running no huddle against me. 1 drive was stalled because of a penalty and 2 others from sacks. also, their running back rating is only a 78. team that up with a full back rating of only 58 and a offensive line who's best player is a 73 and is it a wonder they couldnt run the ball very well. their qb has a 86 rating so the fact he had success against me makes sense. this team was not nearly as good as mine and the final score shows that i believe.

My next game was against Pitt. a far better team then arkansas st, and actually better than my team in every rating.

I won this game 45-24. but again the game was different than the score. i forced 3 turnovers. 2 happened to come off of intercepting the option pass and i returned both for tds. i knocked their starting qb out of the game midway through the 3rd quarter and i picked off the back up. here is the stat line for the game

    Pitt Illini

    first downs 15 14
    total offense 445 355
    rushes 29-253-3 39-117-1
    passing 17-29-0 12-22-3
    passing yards 192 238
    3rd down 3-12 11-16
    4th down 3-3 0-0
    turnovers 3 0
    penalties 2-15 3-35
    sacks 2 3
    T.O.P. 12:06 19:54

there ya go. stats showing the differences between 2 diff teams.

i probably would have lost to pitt without the turnovers and knocking their qb out. he was tearing me up before he got hurt.

please try my sliders....and as always...give some feedback

Tried these last night and imo there the best AA sliders i've played with.Made a couple changes tuned cpu rush defense down to 50 felt it was a little overpowered. Also my run blocking up a notch and turned both kickoffs down a notch.Im also playing on slow speed just my preference normals a little to fast for my liking.

if ur a good team playing another good team....it will be tough. but run the ball consistently, even if at first the yards arent there. make smart throws. make good playcalling decisions on both sides of the ball...and you should be in prime position to win the game in the 4th quarter

1st couple games were really easy, but I started my Dynasty with Eastern Michigan and the opponents were FCS schools. Tonight I have Michigan...so hopefully I get smoked haha!

Schnaidt... thanks for these numbers.. these numbers actually made it actually felt like I was competitive with two teams evenly matched teams... (although I went to a Slow speed)....

I lost to Kentucky [finally got my full game in].. lost 20-17 when i recovered a punt fumble on about the 35 yard line with about 45 seconds left... and my backup QB (my starter went down on the 2nd play... if he's in there, I think I throw one less pick and one more TD...I think.) threw the 4th of his 4 picks (none of which were due to "superman jumping LB'ers".) on the very next play trying to get the ball centered in case a FG attempt was coming..

But it was a game I felt I was finally competing against the CPU on , with no blowouts on either side, and the run defense on both sides was solid, but not "overly stifling". (both teams only managed about 315 total yards offense each...)

there were too many penalties being called so i made some updates....try them out if u were finding too many penalties.

and as always, if u been using these sliders. i would love to get more feedback and stats and stuff

Hey guys I'm new to the the slider scene (the this forum), so cut me some slack with this question:

How do I set these sliders? Are they "clicks" from 0? For example: False start is set at 90, so do I start all the way at the right, and "click" over to the right 90 times? Or are they labeled by the number? If it is... disregard this question!

                        they are labeled by number...

so just go in and set each to the number i put in accordingly

These look good. I will make a few adjustments though before testing. I barely get any punt return yards. I compensate by making ai higher (55-60) at punt power and lower at punt acc.

And I will set my penalties differently, mostly in favor of the def (the biggest challenge in videogame football is the balance between realistic gameplay while having enough total stats and not having unrealistically high scoring games every game).

I have concerns over stopping the run on these settings, and I have struggled a little at passing on aa default so I am concerned with 30 qb rating w/40int. But I will test these. Thanks.

played a half exhibition ucla at usc. pretty good. going to turn down wr catch to 55 for both and int down some. perhaps I can finally start a dynasty. i may move threshold down some more too. thanks for these. i've been playing this too long to test and test and test beta anymore!

                              atha:

The sliders are all in multiples of 5, so for 90 you would start at zero and click over 18 times, 18 X 5 = 90.

The sliders are also defaulted at 50 so to get to 90 you would click over 8 times to add the 40 points.

(The only sliders that are in multiples of 1, to my knowledge, are the auto-sub sliders)
