How do you stop people like this?
 

Last 3 online games, I've been matched up against the Heat. Same story every time. Opponent uses Lebron to bull rush to the rim, spin dunk, automatic 2 or 3 points depending on if he's fouled. If somehow, he doesn't make it to the rim, he kicks it out to a wide open Wade/Chalmers/Miller who are at the 3 point line. Who usually drain it. The opponent will usually hit 10-15 3's a game.

How on earth do you stop players like that?

Oh, I do. When Lebron occasionally gets stopped, that's usually how it happens. Then he just send the unguarded guy to the basket and rifles it to him for an easy dunk.

Option A
Back off of LeBron and force the player to shoot a 3 pointer with LBJ. Since its a online ranked match he wont make the wide open 3 more than likely online.

Option B
1-3-1 zone his ***. Only play defense with your PG on the 1-3-1 zone and chase the ball wherever it goes with your PG, or if the ball if already well defended by your teammate then move your PG to where he'll pass the ball next.

As for spin dunk, the only thing you can hope for is that 2k forces him into a contact animation. other than that, there is sadly no solution for the spin dunk

Oh and try to make as many of your possessions count. Your opponent seems like he has turbo on all game. Those type of online players will get a fast break dunk all game if he is able to make you miss and throw a pass all the way up the court

the only thing that sucks is once you get posted up as a defender you locked into that position

... and option C stop playing the heat in ranked games, majority of online heat users are pure conscienceless cheesers.

If you feel you need to play man, use the Rockets and throw Terrence Williams on Lebron. He's quick/strong enough to stay with him for the most part.

On the offensive end, give it to Yao, laugh at Joel Anthony and shoot over him, or laugh at Big Z and drop step past him. Keep it close to the basket, and you have a chance for more rebounds as you have have the dominant big-men, even with your bench, when it comes to rebounding.

Play onball, when you see him post up go for a steal, that will force him to spin and lose his dribble. You have to be quick because once the spindunk starts you'll have a heck of a time stoping it.

Turn your crash board and help d slider down if he's kicking out to wide open shooters.

If your having trouble double teaming, call a halfcourt trap. this will put pressure on Lebron and will help the double come quick. Just realize that its risky because you'll likely leave someone open.
