Anyone else have memorable recruits?
IDK about you guys but i always get attached to a particular recruit from the moment i see him. I know that he will be great and i know i want him on my team. Sometimes it can get to the point that i don't want to play my games, i just want to advance the week so i can see my progress and keep on recruiting the guy. I've had a great 4 year run with some guys and they always stick in my head, the ones that turn around programs i mean. I am so hyped for madden right now just because i want to start a franchise so i can get to the draft to play with them again. Right now i just signed that guy of this year with QB Danny Mathis. 6'5'' 227lbs with Bthp and B- tha. Some guys i even remember from older NCAA's like QB Cody Davis who single handed brought SMU to its championship days or HB Jonathon Dailey who turned from the #11 best HB of that recruit class to the #1 HB in NCAA history. What are some guys you remember and had fun with, and why were they or what made them so special to you?Tags: None -
Re: Anyone else have memorable recruits?
I recruited a 4-star wide receiver, Jamal Means 6-4 and 220lbs - dude shows up and is HUGE - biggest sholders I've seen on a wide receiver. He can't catch that well - but his speed is 94 as a true freshman - I sued him for Kick off returns, as of now, he's leading the nation in yards - averaging nearly 40 per touch. He's very difficult to bring down. He's big strong guy, who's very difficult to stop. I also recruited a 5-star RB who's 6'2 227lbs speed of 93, guy is basically Jim Brown reincarnated. I use Notre Dame. -
Re: Anyone else have memorable recruits?
I recruited this DE Joe Brooks 6'3" 270lbs. 73spd 83str.I'm the canes started him as true fresh. 45 tackles 9.5 sacks All American. But I had recruited like 3 other DE's in the class with a little more speed but less size. I lost my stud DT and so i decided to slide him to DT. ***ing STUD! Has 11.5 sacks 38 tackles 6 games in! Speed at 75 strength at 86 87 overall.nThis guy is gonna be the next Suh lol!!Comment

Re: Anyone else have memorable recruits?
this isn't really anything to get excited about now, but i had just signed with from washington as an oc, In the offseason, some QB pops up, Joe Goff (#1 QB) ... he didn't have any interest in me, but i wanted a good QB to be like Locker... After 5 weeks, i became his #1 and he signed with me! I was excited but i had a real good QB so I RS him. That year i won the NC and got offered the HC at Ohio State... how can you turn that down!?!! I took it, and now 2 years later that QB is in the Heisman Race with a 99 ovr and 94 tp and 99 ta (i know progression is overrated, but boy did i miss out!)Comment

Re: Anyone else have memorable recruits?
My best memories was on ncaa11, and I needed help big time on my offensive lineman issue, so I was able to recruit #1 &5 best Tackle and #2&4 best guard and played them as true freshmen and they blocked for me so well and stayed all 4 years! Went to pro and all my 4 linemen were picked in first round in madden 11. They made me proudComment

Re: Anyone else have memorable recruits?
David Bryant, a 5 star wideout, who is 6'7" with a 4.34 40. Can you say major deep threat.Comment

Re: Anyone else have memorable recruits?
A couple years ago, a DT recruit was added during the off-season and was the top-rated recruit in the nation. I went after the guy pretty hard and he turned out to be 91 overall. That is probably the single greatest player I have ever recruited.Comment

I haven't settled into my dynasty on 12 yet, but I have one memorable recruit from 11.
Mike Williams: QB, 6'5", 230, the most outrageous dual threat ever.
I played him at RB/WR in his RS freshmen year for 3 games, but after seeing what he was capable of (5TD's and about 600 yards of offense) I knew I had to start him at QB. He broke every single meaningful school and NCAA rushing and passing record in his career, took me to 3 NC's in four year and, won the Heisman twice.
He was without doubt the best player I have ever used on the game - and all the more memorable as he was only a 4* recruit coming out of college. I still remember my jaw dropping when I opened his recruit page and saw his ratings.Comment

Re: Anyone else have memorable recruits?
This guy:

I forgot his name but it was from NCAA 08. A year after Colt Brennan graduated from Hawaii I snagged a 4 star QB with a 99 THP. I wanted to deck him out in all that unecessary gear in the Hawaii heat but had to justify it somehow. So I came up with: He had his arm surgically replaced with a robotic one hence the 99 Throwing Power. He wore long sleeves, elbow and wrist braces and gloves to hide his mechanical arm so he could remain eligible to play college football.
By his senior year Hawaii had accepted an invite to the Pac 10 and had defeated Penn State in the Rose Bowl.
Robo QB FTW.Comment

Re: Anyone else have memorable recruits?
I think it was in NCAA 08.. I put myself as a QB onto ASU's team and led them to championships. He was a very high overall. Come NFL draft I picked him in the first round. He was like a 50-65ish if I remember correctly. I was crushed :'( thankfully that's fixed now!Comment

Re: Anyone else have memorable recruits?
In NCAA '11 I needed a QB badly because I had a 90something overall senior and the next best QB was in the low 70s. I was in a battle with Ohio State (I was Louisville, it was like 10 years into the dynasty, but I digress) His name was Andrew Christian and he was the #2 overall QB in his class. He came in and started 4 straight years and ended up being a 99 overall senior and lead us to the national championship.Louisville Cardinals
Boston Celtics
Boston Red Sox
Indianapolis ColtsComment

Re: Anyone else have memorable recruits?
It was about NCAA '09 in my Dynasty back when recruits had 4.16 speed. One year I had a recruit who was 6'6" Athlete ran a smooth 4.16 and had 99 acceleration. I could have put him ANYWHERE, but I left him at DB. I had him on kick return/punt return and defense. He won the Heisman his Sophomore and Junior seasons.
About 2 years later I recruited 2 6' 7" recruits who ran a 4.16 and a 4.23 respectively. I can't remember their names for nothing in the damn world but they were BEAST!!! I threw about 55 TDs that season.Comment

Re: Anyone else have memorable recruits?
Got one right now.
Adam Wheeler, 6'6" 4* ATH out of Texas.
Was only B ratings on his Speed, but had A+ Route Running.
I can put this guy in any spot and he will Go. Get. That. Ball.
Already has 4 TDs in two games, he is a load to bring down when he has space.
I can already tell he will be something special. Only a 73 as a freshman, but the intangibles are there. Could of made him a 79 HB but that route running spoke to me, just had to roll the dice on it.Comment
