Madden NFL 12 Player Ratings - Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants

ESPN The Gamer has posted the Madden NFL 12 player ratings for the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants.

Are there any changes you would like to see, or are they just about right?

Dwayne Harris - 44 Route Running

I'm not saying the guy should have 90 route running, just would have thought a WR could run better routes than a 7th round FB.

Also don't see Josh Brent on the Cowboys roster.

Re: Madden NFL 12 Player Ratings - Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants

Dallas Cowboys suggested changes. . .

Jason Witten: Catch rating is finally where it should be!

Tony Romo: Play Action is still off (66) should be at least 75-87 he sells the play fake so well with little to no run game. His carry is off as well at 49 he's protected the ball much better these past two years.

Terence Newman: tackle (40) is still off along with his block shed (23) Tackle should be at least 68 . . . block shed should be 55. Newman is physical, he's a better tackler than Mike Jenkins (the ratings say otherwise). Newman had 79 tackles last season (77 solo) . . . a 68 rating isn't to much to ask for.

Another thing with Newman, his coverage skills are a bit too high. He's regressed some. . . also he's still fast but not 97 speed fast. He's around 93-94 now (he's lost a step) and his injury rating should be much lower than an 84 (try 73).

Sean Lee: Deserves higher than a 73, his coverage ratings are a bit to low. He made some nice plays in his rookie campaign and showed a lot of promise!

DeMarco Murray: Carry rating is underrated (74).

David Buelher: Kick Accuracy is far to high for how poorly he's doing in camp 75-76 max

Kyle Kosier: Move to right guard

David Arkin: Is our starting left guard at the moment.

Victor Butler: Plays ROLB not LOLB

Brandon Williams: Plays LOLB not ROLB

        Outside of that. . . I'm satisfied!

Marcus Spears & Josh Brent are missing. Abe Elam as well, but that was a recent transaction. No excuse for the other two.

I assume Donny kept up with Spears contract and recognized he's a free agent. So he was just recently signed (the same day Nnamdi went to Philly) and since Nnamdi is still on the Raiders I wasn't surprised Spears wasn't on.

Look at the Browns if you want to see Elam, he's an 80 OVR Free Safety

Not sure at all why Brent wasn't included. . . strange. . . nonetheless he will be on the day 1 roster update (online).

Yea, Josh Brent def has to be added if he's not there (I didn't check myself).

Ratings are subjective so there's always going to be a difference of opinion. So with that said, not much to complain about. Can't expect Donny to have pulse on every single player on your favorite team.

I will be bumping Felix Jones injury rating some though. He was pretty durable last year when taking on a heavier load. The 75 rating seems to only take into account his first 2 seasons.

Demarco Murray looks like a fun player to have on the team. Very versatile.

And our secondary is terrible, haha.

Newman, Ball, and Jenkins are all overrated. They were horrible last year. HORRIBLE!

Ball played out of position all year. He's a CB not a safety.

The Giants have a good secondary.

bunch of cowboys homers in here...what was their record last year? I know you guys are used to the boys being god re-incarnated on madden but they were not very good last year.

True...but no one questions the talent on that team. Sure, some players have something to prove this year (Spencer, Jenkins, a few others), but talent has never been the question.

As such, I think most of the players are rated appropriately at the moment. I might would've moved Doug Free up one tick
