Favorite player?

There has been an abundance of best this of all time, best that of all time. Those essentially are only started for arguments. I just want to hear about your favorite player, from any team any year, and the reasons why they hold that distinction. Let's try to keep the arguing and disagreement to a minimum.

I personally have many favorites. Lawrence Taylor, Deion Sanders, Randy Moss, etc. Mainly the players that had a huge mouth and could back it up every Sunday. Despite that preference, my all-time favorite is Peyton Manning. Since I'm only twenty, I never saw Montana or Marino play in their prime, aside from the NFL Network or YouTube. But since I started watching football, I have never seen any player with such an amazing mastery of his position and the game in general as 18. With an unprecedented 4 MVPs, there are some Sundays that I tune in just to watch him do his thing. I believe I will finally buy an NFL jersey on my own (meaning not a birthday or Christmas gift), and it will definitely be Manning's.

Deion Sanders hands down, only reason I became a Raven fan was, 1)Ray Lewis was on the cover of madden 05 and 2)I saw Deion Sanders take one back to the house in a Ravens uniform and I fell in love

if I had to choose a player who is in the league currently, I'd have to go with Ed Reed, just a plain game changer and absolutely mesmerizing to watch

Emmitt Smith. I still have his autographed ROY framed photo.He'll always be my favorite. He was the best running back that I ever saw play.
On defense I liked Bruce Smith and Kevin Greene.

Favorite player of all time is Barry Sanders. I don't even know how I found out about him but his jersey was the first one I ever owned (I still have it too), and I used to make sure that I would watch the Lions whenever they were on tv.
