NCAA Football 12 literally unplayable

I haven't been able to play in an OD in about a week let alone playing in a Offline dynasty. This is the only game I try to play right now and I can't even do that b/c it freezes every time I edit uniforms and change playbooks. This is really unacceptable that I paid 60 dollars for this game and can't play in an OD b/c that's the only reason I buy this game, not to play play now games.

I see you have an Xbox based on your gamer tag. I have a PS3 and have not had it freeze one time. The only game that has ever frozen on me was Red Dead Redemption. I have an old 40GB PS3. It's strange I hear bout 360s freezing all the time.

Have you tried calling EA Technical Support? This obviously is not a widespread problem, the vast majority of people playing NCAA Football 12 on their respective XBOX 360s are doing so without issue.

your Xbox is probably on its last legs and NCAA is the game that is pointing that out to you.

I have had two fail and each time it was only one game that caused issues until they died. some games push them more or in ways that expose a specific weakness.

It has nothing to do with my xbox. This is the only game that's freezing repeatedly.

I know my game freezes (PS3) when I try to advance after transfers but only if I don't want the people transferring lol

Before you rake EA over the coals, maybe you should have your 360 checked out. I haven't read anywhere where freezing is a widespread problem. I know when my old 360 got the RRoD, games were freezing constantly. I think you might need to get that shipping box ready because your 360 might be going back to Microsoft in the near future.

Same here. I don't know if it's an EA problem or a console problem. Generally speaking if it's a problem with the app, it's a lot more widespread.

Previous to my 2 RRod's. I had a similiar issue, each time with one game. Tough to say what it is, app hangs are hard to troubleshoot.

I will say this I feel for the OP, these kinds of issues are the most frustrating.

I know when my old 360 got the RRoD, games were freezing constantly. I think you might need to get that shipping box ready because your 360 might be going back to Microsoft in the near future.

This is the only game doing this. The first 3 weeks I didn't have any problems and this started happening all of a sudden. I got an old scratch up skate. that still works on this xbox. Only way I can play in an offline dynasty is to do the sign in thing that ODogg posted and I still can't play in an OD.

You aren't reading much then, it's a widespread issue if you look at the bugs thread stickied. The freezes come at all sorts of points, too. In my case (360) I had a one person OD permanently freeze to where the OD is unloadable, in the second season. Could be because I was using a Teambuilder team, or changed conferences in the off-season. My 2nd OD I avoided using Teambuilder or conference changes, and I've made it all the way to season 5. HOWEVER, after every week's game, I have to exit then re-enter the OD or it freezes. I can't play two week's games one after the other or the screen goes black and the 360 freezes. 100% of the time.

The first example sounds like a typical app hang due to the introduction of an add on like team builder. That would be typical of EA to have that as a hole in their code. Particualrly online where stability has never been their strong suit.

The second issue sounds like some sort of caching or memory leak type of deal, again that's on the EA coding side, if that's what it is.

I used to even do my solo dynasties as a one player OD, due to the ease of posting pics, stats, etc. but the issues with stability became too big of a hurdle to overcome, sounds like that hasn't changed, and it quite possibly got worse.

Their online code, leaves a lot to be desired imo.

Not a widespread problem??? Literally the patch that comes out in about two weeks is basically built to fix the endless amount of freezing in this game.... there was countless threads about freezing. Just because you don't have problems with it, doesn't mean it's not happening
