That seems a bit ridiculous to me

I'm not a big fan of all the ink I see on some of these cats these days, but I don't like telling a grown man what he can and can't do to his body. Even Michael Jordan had an ear ring. I hate this even more than the Yankees' ban on facial hair.

I agree
I dont plan to ever really get a Tat, but I dont really like that request. I understand that Jerry probably wants a Certain look for his Face of his Franchise. I would understand if this was a Universty like BYU and its No sex before Marriage. It would be understandable if it was no noticeable
Tatoos like Arms or Legs Tats. But, I dont see a problem with a Ear Ring.
But if you think about it If Cam doesnt have any Tatoos or Piercing by now at age 21-22, I dont think he might not want none.

It's his team so he does have a right to tell him that.

That being said, he better be very, very careful with this because he's walking a very fine line with that request that can very easily cause a backlash that he does not need to deal with.

Overreacting much? People don't care about this stuff as much as Richardson thinks they do. Mike Vick has plenty of tattoos, and he was a legitimate MVP candidate. People are going to support teams ans players based on on their play on the field and behavior off of it.

Reminds of Bob McNair being so infatuated with David Carr's image as much as or even more than his talent. We kept hearing about how Carr was so mature, being a husband and father while going through college. Add om the clean cut, pretty boy look, and you have the prototype face of the franchise right? Didn't work out so well.

In my opinion what Richardson is saying here is that he has a lot of Investors, possible investors in his Business and by telling Cam they like to see a certain image portrayed it would be in his best interests to try and maintain a "clean image" for the sake of Business and trying to appease those investors.

Which is fine because in all reality there are so many Businesses that ask their employees to not display tattoos in the work place, and if they are males to not wear piercings to work.

Are Richardson's views outdated? Possibly especially with so many players in the NFL having tattoos. Even guys that he's currently employing. He signed Jeremy Shockey who has sleeves running on both arms, and also Steve Smith who has some ink as well... I don't see anything wrong with asking Cam to try and maintain a certain image.. as Cam previously does not have any tattoos, or piercings. If he told him if you get any tattoos then we will not Draft you... that would be wrong.

This is dumb. Investors? Really? You really think they give a hell about the players so long as the team is racking in the money?

The qbs get different dress codes now? I wonder if it is a qb specific thing. (pretty much is)
