Will there be disadvantages to creating 7"5 behemoths?

Im asking this because if there are not height based caps, then 2k12 will be another year of space jam 7"0 sf's and pgs, and 7"5 centers everywhere in crew games.

The taller you are the lower your caps should be on certain attributes such as speed, vertical, ball handling, etc.

Im tired of seeing 7"5 guys playing like allen iverson.

Let's see how that goes..... maybe 2k will get it right this year....If they don't....meh....I'll still enjoy the game....i just won't be playing crew games....I played a lot of crew games in 2k10 and very little in 2k11 after the height hacking started....

Forget hacking 7'5 Globetrotters, does anyone remember when someone created this:

Unfortunately, no hacking could create this in proper fashion:

why would anyone want to play crew? You've got to wait 10 to 15 minutes to get in a game. Usually there's only 3 or 4 humans playing. The lag is terrible. 2K's CAPs are terrible so you've got to be looking at mutant looking hobos all the time. You've got 7'5 monsters morphing through 4 defenders for the stupid standing animation dunk and the general level of idiotic and unrealistic gameplay is off the charts.

Just focus on developing team-up. Crew should be buried.

                FYP

Create ur MP customizing everything u want (hhmm.. almost everything u want, please 2k12 help us !) play ur career as every possession should count (like irl), learn to know ur MP and develop him into the player u love to watch playing, meet some great MPs with their own story, develop a chemistry on the court playing against other legit MPs with their own story (by story i dont mean usb drive + pc + 7'5 99 overall daniels gibsons = 5min )

                the crew concept is beautiful

Well the skill points system has to go. It's flawed and laborious. Not everyone wants to play every game of MP, but I think they should fix the minutes systen so that you're not doing overtime.

Since USB's are the problem, crew players should only be able to be used in crew and stored on 2k's servers.

yep all these things should happen

                      - make it faster / easier to get to 99 rating (takes too long as is)
                      - put the MP's on 2k's servers to combat cheaters

the crew concept is amazing and has so much potential.

imagine crew + online association as one mode where every player is
put in a fantasy draft conducted by the cpu. that would be sick.

now if 2k would just make teamup / crew a priority...

totally agree, getting to 99 ovr is WAY TOO FAST as it is now

no1 in the lg except our MP sees his overall rating increase by more than 4 or 5 pts/season MAX.. our MP can increase his ovr by more than 50 (!!!) in his rookie season.. c'mon now

i say we should start at like 65-70 and increase our ovr by no more than 5 pts /season

That's sort of what Pro Evolution Soccer eventually did with their pro mode. It used to be quite frustrating being such an unskilled player, but they eventually changed that so you started about the range you suggest, but grew slower.

Of course, even their quicker growth rates were far, far slower than we see in NBA2K, though quicker leveling rates are the new common trend in MMOs and other games involving XP. Guess players just don't enjoy the journey as much anymore.

I agree, there should be rules, like as your height goes up your max speed can only reach certain levels. Even prime centers, the super fast are probably only rated in the 60's for speed
