    NBA Greatest objective question

With all the talk about the NBA Greatest mode I have not come across what the ultimate goal is in the games you play. Is it like last years Jordan mode where you must recreate the game in terms of winning AND his stats or is it going to be just Win the game. Do i have to grab 24 rebounds with Dr. J? Or do i just have to win the game. Either way the mode sounds great but it will be a little better if I still have to accomplish specific goals with in the game.

I believe the goal is just to win the game with the given legend's team.

You just have to win the game with each of the 15 Legend's teams.

Cool, woulda liked it more for the specific goals. So is it basically an exhibition game you play vs the other team or do they reference a specific game in history like in the Jordan ones?

Winning unlocks both teams, the Legends team and the opponent.

This is better because it's not player-specific unlike the Jordan Challenges in 2K11 where you tend to ball hog most of the time with MJ.
With this mode in 2K12, you can score stats with anybody on your team for the win.

I don't think it's game specific, but it sounds like the commentary will cover the history of the teams playing and possibly their rivalry against one another.

i may be wrong, but i dont see how the objective is to just win the game when they have specific players listed above the matchup as if to say there's an emphasis on this player in this matchup, I hope im right because i loved having a goal to meet, i loved having 15 seconds left with 3 rebounds to grab, It gets serious

Multiple reports have already stated it just takes a victory to unlock both squads. Directly from 2K's developer insight:

Whenever you win an NBA’s Greatest game with the highlighted player, you unlock both teams in the matchup for use all throughout the game.
