I've never liked their reviews, ever. I do like the player reviews on that site though, to a certain extent.Comment

I think being upset about online replays may be pushing it but other than that, I agree for the most part. Yes, the credibility is shaken from NCAA but ... I think it sums up pretty well.Bleed Green 24/7... EAGLES!!

Re: Gamespot review: only 7.5
Guys I have the season pass, and have been playing the game.
Please don't get upset but honestly the game is around a 7 to a 7.5 at best.
It is not a horrible game by any stretch, but it will not wow you , or make you feel like the franchise has taken a leap in the genre.
See the problem is the game play itself. The game just does not feel fluid, and authentic. Your controls don't feel precise/accurate.
As your watch the play unfold it looks jerky, and rushy at times, and all this happens during a play.
I really do not want to steel anyone's joy, but this is the problem I feel that keeps the title at a 7.
Now there are some other issues , but I don't want to repeat what was already said. I just wanted to express what I felt stood out the most to me.
Gamespot and Gameinformer to me are the most truthful at this time with their scores.
Sorry if I upset anyone. Just being honest.Simply *Magic* Just click the link and Watch :)

Re: Gamespot review: only 7.5
well this is what he said at the end of the review
I've never seen these commercial sites be so blunt before....they kiss up to EA or at least the Madden franchise most of the time.Madden 12 is one of the better games in this franchise, but it's not worth purchasing if you already own last year's edition. Many of the flaws that have plagued the series for years are still present--such as the effectiveness of scrambling QBs--and many of the new features are hardly noticeable. Just consider for a moment how slowly the Madden franchise is at adopting changes in the real game. In the 2007 NFL season, green stickers were placed on the helmets of quarterbacks to designate that they could communicate (via radio) with the sidelines. It took four iterations of the digital experience for this incredibly small change to be implemented. Progress comes at a snail's pace, making versions blend together so that they're barely distinguishable from one another. In real life, every player eventually hits a performance wall; players can only improve for so long before they start to regress. Madden 12 is the video game equivalent of a player at the end of his career. It can still dazzle you from time to time, but it's clearly showing its age.
I think EA Tiburon is going to have to do something revolutionary with the Madden series soon. Backbreaker beat them to it regarding physics and player interactions. Hopefully they can go one step further with the on the field gameplay and add something else. At the end its hard to improve sports games every year. I think MLB The Show and NBA 2k series show this...but since they are already great, I believe some look past that. But with the Madden series there is so much they can improve with, on the on the field gameplay.Comment

You make a good point. I have not play the game but from what I have seen so far, I think EA kinda mailed in this year. This really is the same game most people have been playing for the past three years.Guys I have the season pass, and have been playing the game.
