How does potential work?
 

right now in my franchise I am just cutting all the players with a "F" potential. I assume that it determines how much they progress. Does anyone know the exact numbers?

ex. A=99, stuff like that

There is no exact number how much each will progress (although it is largely predictable, especially online)

But it's basically a cap of the highest one could possibly go..

A = 99
B = 89
C = 79
etc..

Doesn't mean an A will ever reach 99 or even 90..but they could.

I have noticed that potential ratings can change this year, unlike last year.

Ricky Elmore has a B potential, but after my first season he changed to an A.

That would be kind of cool if that's true. Anyone else notice that? I haven't yet myself.
