Best quarter length for realistic results?
I see that they won't let us take off accelerated clock in franchise mode this year for some reason so what's the best quarter length in you guys opinion to get realistic results?Tags: None -
Re: Best quarter length for realistic results?
Been playing 8 minute quarters in franchise mode and came up with about 20-25 passes per game and about 20-25 carries a game. Still experimenting to see if maybe 7 minutes would be better. Or perhaps 9 to 10 minutes even. -

Ok, I'll try 8 as well.Comment

Re: Best quarter length for realistic results?
I hate that they took out accelerated clock in franchise mode. 15 minute quarters with 15 second runoff was working perfect for me. I wonder why they did it.
I'll probably go with 10 minute quarters.Comment

You want to try and get 120 plays from scrimmage. To get there, I'm playing 13 minute quarters. I'm not sure why, but Madden takes a lot longer to play than NCAA. I get the same 120 plays in 8 minute quarters in NCAA.
Also, NCAA makes it much easier to control the clock through the use of gameplay settings. There are a ton of little things that make the gameplay of NCAA so much better.

I think that's because a lot of teams in NCAA use no huddle the entire game so they're getting more plays in. TOP is almost always out of whack in NCAA games versus the CPU.Comment
