NO IMPACT PLAYERS IN MADDEN
 

The problem with Madden and NCAA is that they have really no "Impact Players" due to the fact that their ratings are too close to each other. You see teams with mostly 80 rated players on a team.

Take "Front Office Football", they use a rating system from 0-100. Now when you build your team you'll have starters rated in the 30's, 40's or 50's. But the great thing about the game is when you draft a 70, or 80 rated player, it makes a great difference to your team. That player really becomes a "Impact Player". You don't have this kind of impact with Madden or NCAA. There needs to be more of a spread with the ratings.

The reason why it works in "Front Office Football" is because of the salary cap. You will never be able to afford a team that was all 70 rated or 80 rated. Could never happen. The other beauty is that it's rare to have a 90 rated player. Here in Madden and NCAA world they fall off the tree. Way too easy.

I think the rating system needs to be redone to allow that impact player to stand out.

Look at my roster for Madden NFL 11, I have the same problem with ratings in Madden with all the players ratings being to close. The link is in my signature. Just check out the ratings. I will be doing the same for Madden NFL 12.

The problem is when you custom re-rate the players the game doesn't re-rate their salary.

Here is a link to my online team Carolina Panthers Rosters. As you can see i have i think (4) 70 rated players and maybe (1) 80 rated player. Btw, I have i think $600K left to my salary cap with this roster.

As you can see, most of my players are in the 40's.
