does anyone get separation with their WR's?

I play with the titans so I dont have any speed burners running routes (except if you split cj wide), but I never get any separation on plays. its almost impossible for me to throw a deep ball over a defenders head into the arms of my receiver cause the either A) jump extra high to deflfect or B) my wr never even gets past them. are there any tips on how to get more true to life wr separation?

What do you have your speed threshold at?

Try your threshold at 40. It makes the deep ball possible, but not overly so.

Yeah at default, you not going to get seperation at all.

I get separation with Ocho Cinco and Wes Welker; outside of the streaks, running is Key to getting open WRs. (That's with no threshold change!)

Turn auto strafe on and post up on those deep balls. Threshold at 40 though seems pretty good to me. Not a huge difference IRL when you compare a 4.4 guy to a 4.5 guy.

Throw the ball earlier on deep rountes and loft it up, thats where I see the separation is once the ball is in the air to guys like Calvin Johnson.

I use default speed threshold, on All American. With the Saints I can typically get a deep ball to Henderson or Meachem. Both of them have good speed. If they are my first read I immediately check the safety's to figure out if there going to cover over the top/blitz/pickup man. If Meachem or Henderson has one on one then Ill let it fly.

They will still have drops due to getting hit after the catch. It also depends on the team your playing. I am not able to just sit back an launch bombs all day.

I get good separation with Steve Johnson, but it's more with his cuts and not straight line speed.

The easiest way I find to get separation is with a fast TE or cause matchup problems by bring 5 Wide against MCV

Yeah TEs are still definitely too strong in this game. I spent half my time working on my sliders last year trying to tame the issue. Fortunately last years sliders still work pretty well in this game.

I will hardly ever go deep but when I do there is not much separation. If it is one on one I would bomb it out there I control my WO and 5/10 times I will get the ball

I am having trouble using mkharsh33's slider set as Green Bay getting anything going in my passing game mostly due to a lack of separation on any routes other than seams from the slot.
I don't consider myself hardcore but I have played football and sports games quite a bit and have been waiting for a decent madden game this gen, having suffered through them all.
Still, any tips? I think this is related to the OP's concern except I have limited success but with slot guys running seam/go routes only.
I'm like 8 games into my 1st season and A-Rod has 2 more ints than tds and either i through barely over a 100 yards a game or i through for about 200 but also with 3 picks and 1 td (if lucky).
I may just be terrible against the zone... but in that case what are other types of things I can do to beat the zone? (Don't want gennings/nelson/driver/finley to get all their yards 20-30 yards at a time!)
